About Rêve de Rivière: When first visiting Rêve de Rivière, one is immediately taken back in time.
The house dates back to the 17th century and is an example of an era gone by. We have taken tremendous care to respect its authentic style. The furnishings are comfortable and chosen so that all ages can come and feel at home. In Lavoute Chilhac, there is a beach ambiance in summer and you'll find people walking to the river beach or to kayak in bathing suits... it has a laid back feel to it and there is often some kind of activity going on (night birdwatching walks, artesan markets...). The bar across the bridge has concerts each week and our guests have said to enjoy listening to the music from the garden. In the off seasons, people love to visit the area for its foliage, and the many hiking paths that surround the valley. There is essentially something for all tastes and ages.
