The living room has a solid oak floor & corner sofa which incorporates a king size folding bed & dining table to seat six people. Double doors from the living room lead out on to the balcony with stunning views across the lake.

We have free wi-fi, a 26” LCD TV and a DVD player which can play DVDs & CDs. You can also hook up your MP3 player & there’s a Nintendo Wii games console with several games. Please note that there is no external aerial signal to the TV, so please feel free to bring along your own DVDs to watch.

The bedroom has chunky pine furniture and an oak floor give it a warm cosy feel. The bedroom sleeps four people, there is a king size bed, bunk beds, drawers and a large wardrobe.

The bathroom has a new white suite with bath and shower.

The kitchen has all the usual equipment including kettle, dishwasher oven, hob, & fridge along with plenty of pots, pans and utensils.

Spot On Apartment- Excellent

Ideal Apartment and having stayed in a few apartments in French Ski resorts, this definitely excels. Matt very helpful. Much bigger than the norm and a great size dining area and living room, with exceptionally comfortable sofa bed, easily assembled and put away. Plenty cupboard space. Flexible sleeping arrangements with solid bunk beds and double bed in generous sized bedroom. Hot water always available. Small but well equipped kitchen. Wifi is also excellent, with no outages at all over a week- bit of a rarity in holiday accommodation.

As far as location is concerned, excellent too. If snow conditions and ability allow, ski to the door or at least to within 50+ m. Ditto access to lifts although poma lift nearby often not running. Main Touviere and Palafour chair/ gondola easily accessed and potentially ski down to if snowed. Plenty Cafes and bars around. Jam Bar, Café Flo and Marmotte all to be recommended. Excellent Savoyarde Restaurant underneath for raclette/ fondues etc. Also excellent double storey Carrefour supermarket 50 yards away , which pretty much stocks anything you want and almost avoids need for any bigger shop on way to Tignes.

As for skiing, immense area, you'll do well to ski it in a week! Enjoy, but don't book when we want it next time

Great apartment with everything we needed for family of four. Five minute stroll down the hill to supermarket and lifts. Matt very helpful and quick to respond to all queries. Vikki at Tignes Angels pulled out all the stops to help us when we got stuck and couldn't get out of Tignes on the final day - road closed - it had snowed at last! Too late for us unfortunately. Apartment clean, well furnished and comfortable. Will be happy to return.

We have returned so it must be good!

We liked the apartment so much that we didn't consider looking elsewhere when we decided to visit Tignes again. Once again the reservation process and key collection was smooth and efficient. The apartment itself is as before, furnished and decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. The view from the living room window is stunning. If and when we return to the area we both hope that Matt's property is available for us to rent.

Lovely flat overlooking the alps

Matt's flat is just amazing. I loved the wooden floor throughout and the oak furnitures which gave it a really cosy and homely feeling. The bed is very comfortable, the flat is generally furnished to really high standards and the kitchen well equipped. It is much bigger than it looks in the pictures, which was a bonus!

It is located a stone's throw from the lifts, and and a three minutes walk from the shuttle bus stop that connects you to Tignes Val Claret. There is a lovely boulangerie just a couple of minutes walk down, and plenty of shops in the Palafour complex next door.

The flat was spotlessly clean when I arrived, and arranging to meet up to collect the keys was very easy and quick.

I would recommend it to anyone and I would definitely rent it again when coming back to Tignes!

Lovely Apartment - Even Better than Hoped

My wife and I returned yesterday from a lovely weeks break in Tignes. Matt's apartment was completely as described but bigger than expected. It is furnished to a very high standard and the bed was difficult to leave in the mornings! The temperature dropped dramatically while we were there but at no time was the property at all cold. Plenty of kitchen equipment, you could cook every night if you wanted to or eat at the very good local restaurants if you prefer. Constant hot water. Matt was very efficient to deal with during the booking process and dealt with the only minor problem we had very quickly.

We have already booked again for next summer and would recommend this apartment to anybody

Tignes and its neighbouring resort of Val d’Isere make up the ski area known as the Espace Killy and offers over 300km of pisted skiing and some of Europe’s most spectacular scenery. Due to the high altitude glacier it’s possible to hit the slopes almost all year round with the lifts only closing for the months of May & September.

Tignes has a free bus service which runs 24 hours a day in the winter, linking the three main areas within the resort (Val Claret, Le Lavachet & Le Lac) so the plentiful supply of bars and restaurants are all within easy reach.

Fitted out to a very high standard and situated next to the lifts, number 10 Le Lac boasts a south facing balcony with spectacular views across the lake and the Grand Motte glacier.

There are plenty of shops within the apartment complex, including a well stocked supermarket, a patisserie & a pharmacy along with several bars and restaurants.

The apartment is available to rent all year.

Golf: Tignes boasts the highest golf course in Europe! Its18 hole course winds around the mountainside on 5 km of green way, as well as natural obstacles highlighted by architect Philippe Valant, Tignes Golf Club is for both beginners and experts.

Ski: Tignes is served by the large well linked ski area called L'Espace Killy. Tignes shares the L'Espace Killy with Val d'Isere and with over 300km (190 miles) of pistes 150 shops, 115 bars, numerous ski schools, 1500+ staff & extensive off-piste it has become one of Europe's premier resorts.

Due to its altitude Tignes has a very reliable snow record which, after recent seasons of reduced snowfall, has encouraged people to choose higher mountain resorts. According to 'The good Ski & Snowboarding Guide' Tignes/Val d'Isere is one of only two ski areas in France listed as 'Snow-sure resorts'.

Tignes boasts a fast & efficient lift system including 2 high speed underground trains (funicular railways) one of which transports you from Tignes Val Claret to the 'Panoramic Restaurant' on the Grand Motte Glacier.
