just come back from a week at sandown staying at this chalet first impressions of the site are a bit dissapointing site is dated with an old clubhouse shutdown and a poor tarmaced drive.However our accomodation more than made up for this as it was very clean with beds made up on arrival. The accomodation is surprisingly spacious with plenty of storage in both bedrooms a good sized bathroom and ample room in the kitchen/living area.There are more than enough utensils and modern comfort of a washing machine.We took our dog with us and within 2 minutes were on the spectacular coastal path leading to the beach within 2 minutes or a pleasant uphill walk to culver cliff with breathtaking views.Owner was very friendly and met us within an hour of our arrival. We often visit the Isle of Wight and recommend this property if being 10 minures walk from a shop and entertainment is no problems for you. Things to do are a walk over tennyson down from Freshwater bay to Alum bay with unrivalled scenery another good walk is bonchurch to steephill cove.If driving the villages of Bridhtstone and Godshill are idyllic English villages. Good food is to be found at the reef in Sandown superb menu and not overly expensive also walk along the promenade from Sandown to Shanklin and take in a drink at the aqua or steamer If travelling by bus buy a rover ticket way way cheaper than standard fares especially if there is a family of you.Avoid browns golf if you fancy a round total waste of money pay the extra and go to westridge in Ryde.
