|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
Charming studio of 18 m2 with fully furnished and newly renovated terrace in a contemporary urban setting for romantic getaway or from which to explore Paris.
It is located rue Saint-Dominique in an upscale neighborhood of the capital.
The 7th district is incredibly well located. This area is well known for its design boutiques, historic and cultural sites (Eiffel Tower, Esplanade des Invalides, Petit Palais, Grand Palais, Rodin Museum, Musée d'Orsay) and shops including the Bon Marché, a place of mode.
You will quickly walk to the disabled (2 minutes), to the palace to admire its canopy (10 minutes) or to the Eiffel Tower (15 minutes).
The nearest underground stations are: Invalides and Tour Maubourg (lines 8 and 13, RER C)
Hi. The location is great but for a romantic stay in Paris I'm really sorry to sat that this is not the place. The bed was just too noisy. It even squeaks when you take a breath.. I am sorry I really wanted this to be a romantic stay for our first trip to Paris but we came away very stressed with each other.. Just fix the bed. Get the tv working. And some blackout blinds, because every time someone goes upstairs the courtyard lights come on ..and some instructions on how to use the washing machine... All would have been great if these things were fixed.. The bed is the most most most important
I had this apartment booked for a week this coming September. Sadly I broke my leg in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago and had to cancel my trip. While I am unable to speak to the apartment I can absolutely commend Stephane for his wonderful professionalism. From the initial inquiry he has been prompt in his responses and communication and promptly refunded my deposit upon my having to cancel.
I am very disappointed to not be making this trip at this time but he has earned my future business when I am able to reschedule.
Thank you Stephane!
My friend and I were expecting a small studio, but the pictures do not prepare you for the tiny size of the room. There is truly no place for two people to sit comfortably.
Stephane did not warn us of the renovations going on next door prior to our arrival and he should have. The work began at 8 am and was quite loud all day. The couryard was dirty and filled most of the day with workers from the nearby businesses on their smoking breaks. We never felt comfortable using the outside table and chairs due to the construction dirt and the smokers.
The television did not work (Stephane did refund some of our money for that) but I believe that he should have known that ahead of time as well.
The washer worked fine as a washer, but the dryer took hours and got blistering hot. I would not recommend using it as a dryer. If you don't use the dryer, there is no place to hang your wet clothes, so the washer is not entirely useful either. The small closet in the photo is not really sufficient for two people's clothing, so you are basically living out of a suitcase, although there is no place to put the suitcase!
On the plus side, the apartment is in a wonderful location in the 7th arrondissement and isn't expensive for that area. There are grocery stores nearby and we did manage to cook a meal of two in the kitchen.
I feel that Stephane could have been more communicative about the experience we were going to have (construction noise and dirt/ broken tv) ahead of time. I'm sure he didn't want to lose the business. The final issue for us was when he got us a taxi to take us to the airport, he didn't call one, he went and got it, storing his bag in the cab's trunk, which we then had to pay for. If that's what he was going to do, he should have made sure to let us know ahead of time that it would cost us for him to get us a taxi.
Would I recommend this place? No, not to my friends or family. However, if you are forewarned about the size and this is what your budget will tolerate, you will be in a wonderful part of Paris. Stephane's most important weakness is his communication skills. If you can live with this, for the price, then go for it. That's why I gave it two stars. It obviously has been good for some people.
Very disappointed upon arrival to this property...dirty, dreary courtyard, (for smokers more than anything; shared by retail stores) construction scaffolding encroaching on entry to apartment, peeling paint on exterior, dead flowers in dirty vase on kitchen/only table, dirty rugs, dusty shelves...not a welcoming sight! The owner's response was, "It's not my fault." I was so disappointed because all the reviews were perfect! Then I found out I had to go through Homeaway Customer Service even to have access to write a review, which may or may not have been "his fault." Anyway, the fold-out bed was very uncomfortable and loudly squeaked with every move--can't imagine trying to have a romantic vacation here! The apartment has so much potential, but sadly, it was not met and we left two days early...leaving our full payment behind. The price is exceptional, however, but you get what you pay for. Location was excellent for sightseeing, which you are there to do anyway. Just don't plan on spending much time in the "comfort" of your own abode. Hopefully, Stephane won't let this happen again. He did bring us a clean shower curtain on our last night there, which we appreciated. We also suggested he provide instructions on using the washer/dryer which took 4-5 hours to complete a cycle and burnt clothes in the process. It all sounds like a perfect package in the ad...but renter beware. Our experience was vastly different than others have reported. Very puzzling, indeed.
Me and my husband stayed in Stephan´s apartment for 3 nights this June and it was absolutely lovely. Stephane is very helpful we got big support from him during our arrangement and on the place as well.
Apartment is small but you can find everything you need for your stay. The pictures show the reality.
And what we find as a big advantage is that the apartment is really in the centre so almost everything is in walking distance.
When we once get back to Paris we will definitely try to live in Stephan´s place again.
I rented the apartment for 2 nights in June 2013, and had a fantastic stay. The apartment is lovely, very clean and in a superb location. Step outside the front of the building, and you have a view of the Eiffel Tower, and are a stone throw away from fantastic restaurants, bakeries and rue Cler, with fresh produce and charming cafes.
Stephane was extremely helpful and the whole renting experience was easy and stress free. Merck encore Stephane, et a tres bientot!
