Spacious and peaceful

A group of 3 modern but quite attractive villas in the rice paddies. Very peaceful and rural locaiton, about 500m,from a good and almost deserted beach. Black sand, but soft and fine and the place to ourselves.
Attractively furnished, comfortable and good food. Friendly and helpful staff, but feels a little remote as nothing but beach in walking distance. Explored Bali with driver who found a few additional places on top of our wish list, but we did spend quite a bit of time in car on a few days.
Loved echo beach which was about 15 mins by car and had a few nice restaurants/bars and a little more life, but still very relaxed and not too many people. Tanah Lot is also very close and a must see.
Assitant resort manager who was our main contact was fantastic.
One things that we hadn't anticipated from the photos and info, was that the two bedrooms downstairs where our children were sleeping were below the master room and the access between the bedrooms was outside.
Our kids are 6 and 9 and I wasn't totally comfortable with the youngest in this arrangement, as to find us in an ermergency during the night, she would have to walk past the pool in the dark. It worked out fine and we all got used to it after a couple of nights.
However they were very sound proof, so for older children and groups of adults they would be great.
For younger families, in A, the master bedroom is enormous with a living area around the corner from the bed, so younger children could share that area without too big a compromise on space or privacy.
I think this is a lovely location for families or groups of adults who want to spend some time out and about but some time just relaxing at the villa. Whilst it was wonderfully peaceful, we did feel a little more remote than we'd expected regarding anywhere to walk to.
We only spent about a week there and went out almost everyday to see Bali, for but for a longer holiday, where one might divide the travel and sightseeing more with days in, it could work very well.
Overall a very good holiday.

The area in which the villas are located is the "Real Bali" and just outside the main tourist areas but with Free Transport available it is easy to see the rest of Bali and experience a wonderful side to the culture of Bali
