HAVEN OF PEACE WITH STUNNING VIEWS

Fermo Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

The Ridge is a beautifully located farmhouse with breathtaking views

It offers comfortable spacious accommodation with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with showers, a very large living-room, kitchen, dining-room as well as a ‘snug’ room with fireplace.

Outside there is a large patio, a fully functioning bread/pizza oven

The farmhouse itself has a surface area of 240sqm arranged over 3 floors and has 2,000sqm of garden.

The setting is a self-contained haven of peace, yet the historic hilltop towns of Petritoli and Monterubbiano are just a few kilometres away. Just 15km to the east lies the Adriatic Sea with its miles of sandy beaches while 40km to the west are the famous Sibillini mountains and national park, where skiing, walking, climbing and exploring are richly rewarding.

Le Marche’s international airport Ancona Falconara is under 100km north. Another easy option is at Pescara, slightly further away and to the south in the Abruzzo region.

  • suitable for elderly or infirm

THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR FAMILY REUNION SO EXTRAOR

  • 5 of 5
Thank you for making our family reunion so extraordinary. We fell in love with the farmhouse on the Ridge within minutes of arriving. We woke up with misty sunrises and sat outside until dusk. We still have the four hilltop towns in morning, noon and late afternoon lignt embedded in our mind: Monte Rubbiano, Petritoli, Monte Gilberto and Ponzano di Fermo.
We loved the dusty windy road to get to the privacy and the comfort of our too briefly adopted vacation home.
We loved cooking big family meals and making pizza in the outdoor oven, observing geckos in the trees or in the stone garden and putting our grandchildren to bed in the cool and comfortable bedrooms.
And yes, taking showers without curtains and with that amazing view of the valley, olive grove and snow capped mountain ridge is a unique kind of pleasure.
The Ridge is unique and wonderful and your hospitality helped make our stay unforgettable.
Ci vediamo presto
cheers
Patricia and Bernie

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, WONDERFUL STAY

  • 5 of 5
I stayed here with my five year old daughters and a large group of friends for a week - and we had a wonderful time.
The house is as described... set high up on a ridge with beautiful sweeping views of farmland and hills crowned by medieval villages.
I was worried that the children would be too hot without a pool, but it was only an half hour drive down to the beach (where there is also an excellent, and massive, supermarket). We also found a small local hotel less than ten minutes from the house that let us use the pool if we eat at the restaurant - which we did, happily, as the food was so good.
The area is fantastic. Some of the grown ups in our party went for long morning walks through the countryside. We didn't (as it would have been too much for the children). But in the afternoon we visited the nearby hilltop villages, eat ice cream, watched the August fiestas, and went out to dinner in some excellent, and affordable, restaurants. There were hardly any other foreign tourists.
Everything in the house worked. We showered with the windows wide to take in the view. The kids swung in the hammock when it got too hot, or sat in the shade on the patio. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room airy and excellent for an afternoon siesta, all the beds are comfortable and the snug has lots of DVDs for when it gets too hot to sit outside.
We had a brilliant time and I would thoroughly recommend a visit. The house is particularly suited to couples who want a peaceful base to explore the loveliness of the surrounding area.

SUCH A RELAXING STAY IN THIS WONDERFUL HOUSE

  • 5 of 5
A peaceful haven you will never want to leave. Spectacular views that you never tire of. This is the ideal place to switch off, relax and and soak up the beautiful Italian countryside. I can't wait to return!
Castelluccio is well worth a visit for its dramatic scenery.
