We are surrounded by nature, where we can breathe fresh air, hiking, observing nature in all seasons of the year, but we're not lost in the world.

The farm is surrounded by a Mediterranean landscape represented by the Mount San Antón (landscape protected by law), and limiting the North with the Natural Park of Malaga Mountains. At the same time, close to beaches, which favors the presence among us of the sea air

We are far enough from the city to relax, but close enough to combine relaxation with go visit; far enough network of railcars to be quiet, but without the need to invest time to get there.

And, moreover, all this combined with the possibility to do sports in the farm: Swimming pool, tennis, ball games, hiking, cycling, etc.. or play in the garden.

NIGHTMARE

This is a run down house - the door hardly opens and you cannot sit on the sofas in the lounge. The bedrooms and bathroom have 70's feel and the beds are old and far too soft. Picture in the internet are not showing reality - don't attempt to play tennis - you would run the risk of breaking your legs on that court. Choose a different place!!!

RELAXING, TO REPEAT.

The house was great. The lounge was cozy, with a fire for winter. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful, with good shade and views of the mountains. The house was clean, and the only noise was the birds. The house is in the middle of a large property. Juan Carlos and Mathilde grow mangoes and avocados. There is a good motorway near to visit to other places. We went in the spring, and the weather was so good for country walks around property. Relaxing, to repeat.

AN ENCHANTING RURAL SETTING

"We stayed with our children - 4 & 8 , and had a wonderful time. The photos cannot do justice to the space and panoramic views this accommodation offers. The care and attention to the gardens and flowers has the place a heady mix of colour and scent. We BBQ most evenings on the large terrace to the sound track of cockerels, donkeys and cow bells ( I think ) coming up from the valley below . The kids spent the days in and out of the pool (small pool was perfect for the 4 yr old) using the tennis court as football pitch / basket ball court etc and generally exploring ( lots of fruit trees in surrounding land ) - amazingly the usual pestering for trips to waterparks etc was absent , even they seemed to chill out to a slower pace. Within a few minutes drive down from the finca are supermarkets , shops , petrol station and a lively non tourist suburb. The beach is a couple blocks down from main street - with loads restaurants ( fish cooking outside on wood fires seems to be the thing ) , a few parks and a pleasant walk. We have been lucky enough to stay in quite a few lets over the years and this place does have that something extra to offer - an enchanting rural setting within a few minutes of town and beach."

SEHR SCHÖN!

Der Kontakt vor der Anreise war sehr nett und hilfsreich da wir einige Fragen hatten wegen unsere zwei Kleinkindern. Wir wurden von der Autobahnausfahrt abgeholt und zum Haus gebracht. Da wir abends spät mit den Kindern ankamen hat der Vermieter angeboten mit meinem Mann noch einkaufen zu gehen, was wir angenommen haben.
Das Haus war absolut sauber und gepflegt. Die grosse Terasse hat uns besonders gefallen. Viele Stühle und Grill. Das Haus liegt mitten in einer Plantage mit Avokado Bäume.
Der Tennisplatz kleiner als normal und auch alt aber für uns genug da wir keine gute Spieler sind. Es gab Kinder und Erwachsene Pool, beide etwas älter und teilweise Farbe und Fliesen weg aber wir fanden sie beide in Ordnung. Liegestühle und Grill am Pool.

Für Kinder sehr schön da wir immer rumgelaufen sind um die Bäume anzuschauen, es gab auch Schaukeln und Rutschen auf dem Rasen. 2 frische Kinderbetten und Kinderstühle waren wie abgemacht im Haus. Grosse hohe Bank im Waschzimmer welches wir als Wickeltisch benutzt haben.

Das Haus liegt auf einem Berg, wir haben ein Auto gemietet was sich gelohnt hat. Als wir nur zum Zentrum wollten sind wir nur mit dem Auto den Berg runtergefahren und haben dort geparkt. Gab viele kostenlose Parkplätze. Wir sind mit dem Stadtbus ins Zentrum gefahren, dauerte 30 Minuten und hat 1,20 euro gekostet. Die Busse waren pünktlich, sauber und mit viel Platz. Den Berg runterzufahren geht in einige Minuten.

Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben uns auch Tipps gegeben für Ausflüge und Restaurants. Sie kamen immer wieder vorbei und haben gefragt ob wir was brauchen.

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

FINCA SANTA MATILDE - A WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY

We have had an excellent stay at Finca Stanta Matilde. The guest house was simple but very clean and is part of a 7ha property all planted with Mango Trees and other fruits (one can pick the fruits oneself), where two other apartments and one main House are also situated. Because the apartments are far enough apart, we only seldom would meet other guests, so we were very happy with the level of privacy, which was way above other houses we have rented for example in past vacation seasons. The house where we stayed at had also a huge private terrace, with wonderful to the mountains around and a large table where we could have breakfast and dinner. The property itself is really close to Malaga, but at the same time completely separate from the city. Indeed, you'd never tell that you are so close, as the Finca sits in a mountainous area with a narrow and isolated road access. The area is very quiet and you can hear the birds in the morning. The Landlord was very nice and provided all support that we needed (information, maps, etc.). Access to well-structured and nice beaches is easy and quick.

WUNDERSCHÖNES FERIENHAUS IN TOLLER UMGEBUNG

Ein wunderbares Feriendomizil gerade auch für den Aufenthalt mit Kindern. Wunderschön gelegen auf einem Berg, inmitten von Mango-, Avocado-, Mandel- und Orangenbäumen, zu hören nur die Hühner und Hunde unten im Tal. Optimal als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung (Autobahnnähe). Die Ausstattung ganz so wie beschrieben, sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und immer bereit uns unsere Wünsche (z.B. Baden im März) zu erfüllen und Tipps für weitere schöne Erlebnisse zu geben. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub in einem schönen Haus, an den wir gern zurückdenken.

We are in the countryside, on a farm of mango, avocado and other fruit trees, our property is a quiet place from which nature lovers can hike through the countryside. You can relax by reading and sunbathing at the pool or on your patio, or in the beaches (3 kms.)

We are also 7 kms. (15 minutes) from the historical and cultural center of the city of Malaga, the capital of Costa del Sol. Those who know souahitent Spanish culture, discover our history and its reflection in the Roman monuments, Arab, Renaissance, Baroque ... our museums (Picasso, Carmen Thyssen Malaga Car Museum, and other museums), traditions and Mediterranean cuisine, and you can easily visit and taste different 'tapas' and typical dishes (churros, porra, seafood and fresh fish, paella ...), wonderful natural spaces and charming villages.

 

One of the main highways of Andalusia (A-7) is 2. 5 km. of the house. We can meet you, to facilitate the arrival at home, at output 245 of the A-7 motorway.

You can also easily return visits went to a few places and beautiful villages of our region as Granada (1'15 h.), Cordoba (1'30 h.), Seville (2'30 h.) Ronda (1'30 h) Nerja (0'30 h.) Frigiliana (0:30 pm.), etc.. We provide you with documentation of the area and the surroundings. We can advise you on the most interesting cultural and natural places for good deals.

In our house, vacationers can choose a holiday in nature, or sharing the same house with the gastronomic attractions, and cultural of our capital. We are also very close to beautiful and interesting villages where the different peoples who have inhabited since prehistory, being given the current Andalusian character: prehistoric caves, architecture and urbanism Arabic, festivals employers Christian, and all its traditions.

Almost every month, whether in winter or summer, there is a nearby town that celebrates its traditional festivals: Malaga wine, pork, olive Aloreña, almond blossom ... and of course the August Fair in Malaga.

At the end of March or early April, our centennial Health Week full of spring smell of incense and rosemary, colors clothes Nazarenes, music bands that accompany the processions , thrones which are marvels of art. You can see the devotion or the lavish and rich silver and gold baroque relief that shows the Lord's Passion. But undoubtedly, from Malaga to mark the beginning of spring. By different parts of the city several processions walk at the same time. You can book tickets in the official term for the historic center of Malaga, or get them to the path of each and see at the right time.
