Your vacation retreat is centrally located with an easy commute to Yosemite, Bass Lake, Fish Camp, Ahwahnee, North Fork, and the High Sierra - Ansel Adams Wilderness. Fishing is a walk away in Lewis Creek or lake fishing at Bass Lake. Jump on your bike or cross country skis (weather providing) The home sleeps six (8 with inflatable), together they can accommodate 18 (24). The Manzanita Cabin Your vacation retreat at the Manzanita Cabin, 43124 W. Sugar Pine Drive, awards you with a peaceful mountain cabin with a redwood deck and BBQ overlooking a forested meadow, carpeted with sunflowers in the summer and frequented by black tail deer. There is a comfortable living room with a fireplace and gas insert - no wood to cut or carry. There is a TV, a sofa hide-a-bed, and a view to the outside garden. The dining room has a table for six and a sliding glass door to the outside deck. The kitchen is fully equipped with new electric range, dishwasher, refrigerator, and cooking and eating ware for the whole gang. There are two bedrooms each with a queen bed. The north bedroom overlooks the forested meadow and the south bedroom has a view of the garden area. Each bedroom comes with a large closet and chest of drawers for your personal items. The town of Oakhurst is 3 miles away with loads of fine eating establishments, art galleries, cinema, theater, shopping, and antiques. Ahwahnee is only 8 miles to two great golf courses, and gold panning. Head north to Yosemite's Wawona Golf course, or Mariposa Big Trees - only minutes away. Cross country skiing is around the corner, and Badger Pass, one of America's first western ski areas, is and hour away. Yosemite Sugar Pine Railroad is a 15 minute drive. Leave the driving to others. Yosemite Sightseeing tours is at your doorstep, just two miles away. Yosemite International Airport is about an hour. Take Southern Yosemite Highway 41 north to the town of Oakhurst. Take Sky Ranch Road 632 (The National Scenic Byway) to Yosemite Skyway, one mile.

Winter: Yosemite Skyway is open all year. In the winter there is cross country skiing, often only ten minutes away. Snowmobiling is also available. For downhill skiers there are two resorts: Badger Pass in Yosemite - 37 miles and Sierra Summit - 45 miles. In Yosemite Valley there is ice skating where super stars of yesteryear have skated. Chains are available locally should the need arise. Summer is a fine time to be in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Yosemite Skyway is located on the National Sierra Scenic Byway - at the foot of miles of rugged Sierra with lakes, forest, climbing, hiking, backpacking, fishing, hunting - a photographer's paradise. Restaurants are minutes away: 2 Chinese, 2 Japanese, 4 Mexican, 6 American, plus 5 or more of those wonderful American fast food restaurants.
