Fantastic, Centrally-Located Block!

The Waterloo West Apartment is a modern block, set within one of the most desirable locations of Central London (Zone 1). This location offers very easy access to some of the absolute best dining, entertainment, and transport options that a visitor could wish for. Of particular note with this apartment, due to its excellent location, on quite days, you can actually hear the chime of Big Ben on the hour; very charming!

Waterloo is a district of London, England, and part of the London Borough of Lambeth. It is situated 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Charing Cross. The area is part of a business improvement district known as Waterloo Quarter, which includes The Cut and the Old Vic and Young Vic theatres, including some sections in the London Borough of Southwark.

The area was marshland towards the northern tip of the ancient parish of Lambeth. It was known as Lambeth Marshe, but was drained in the 18th century and is remembered in the Lower Marsh street name.

Waterloo is connected to the Strand area on the north bank of the River Thames by Waterloo Bridge. The first bridge on the site was opened in 1817 and the current bridge was opened in 1945. The bridge was named to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Waterloo Road also dates from this time, built on land belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Church of St John the Evangelist, Waterloo Road was constructed from 1822 by the Commissioners for Building New Churches as the population of the parish of Lambeth had significantly increased. After the opening of Waterloo railway station in 1848 the locality around the station and Lower Marsh became known as Waterloo.

The Waterloo Magenta Apartment is a beautifully decorated, 754 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom dwelling (one of the bathrooms is an en-suite to the master bedroom). There are 2 large double beds, and the apartment can house up to 5 guests at once. There is also a balcony in the apartment, and the building conveniently comes equipped with a lift. This apartment is on the 5th level.

Really well situated

We went there for a middle week stay to show London to our two children. The flat is really close to bus station, not far from Waterloo station. It's a really good location for visiting London
The appartment fits us as it's well furnished. We had just problem with noise as the bow window of our bedroom did not close well but in fact we didn't call for fixing it.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Liked the location approx 500m from Waterloo metro station. Good restaurants in the area. Modern apartment with comfortable furnishings. Good heating and the washermachine in the apartment was good.

The apartment was well located. It was close to the waterloo train station and also the attractions like the London Eye. Great place to stay especially that we were 3 of us so we each had our rooms.

Everything as promised

This is a lovely flat just minutes from Waterloo Station, the Old Vic Theatre and the London Eye. Our family had a very enjoyable stay here. Everything was as promised. This is a clean, spacious, comfortable flat close to everything in London. I did my research before booking and seriously doubt there is better value for a flat of this quality anywhere in London. The staff from BLL are outstanding - if you are looking for more of the "homey" atmosphere of a flat over the confines of hotel rooms, look no farther.

Excellent flat in superb location

Given that we were traveling with two teenage daughters, this flat was ideal. It has two large bedrooms (with very comfortable beds) and two spacious bathrooms. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and all of the utensils one would need. Additionally, there was a notebook with comprehensive instructions about everything related to the flat. The wi-fi worked quite well; there were but not one, but two, networks that were available to access (at no additional charge). Check-in was also easy; a driver met us with the keys at the flat just 10 minutes after our call. But the chief attribute of this flat is its superb location, just a five-minute walk from the Waterloo tube station. Waterloo is a hub for several tube lines, which allowed for a 10-15 journey to get to most sites we wanted to visit. If you stay here I would highly recommend walking the South Bank of the Thames for terrific views, people-watching and outstanding dining and shopping. There is also a Sainsbury supermarket between the the flat and Waterloo station as well as pubs and restaurants (some of which are located on an intersecting street known as The Cut).

All in all, a wonderful experience!
