Fantastic, Centrally-Located Block!

The Waterloo West Apartment is a modern block, set within one of the most desirable locations of Central London (Zone 1). This location offers very easy access to some of the absolute best dining, entertainment, and transport options that a visitor could wish for. Of particular note with this apartment, due to its excellent location, on quite days, you can actually hear the chime of Big Ben on the hour; very charming!

Waterloo is a district of London, England, and part of the London Borough of Lambeth. It is situated 1 mile (1.6 km) east of Charing Cross. The area is part of a business improvement district known as Waterloo Quarter, which includes The Cut and the Old Vic and Young Vic theatres, including some sections in the London Borough of Southwark.

The area was marshland towards the northern tip of the ancient parish of Lambeth. It was known as Lambeth Marshe, but was drained in the 18th century and is remembered in the Lower Marsh street name.

Waterloo is connected to the Strand area on the north bank of the River Thames by Waterloo Bridge. The first bridge on the site was opened in 1817 and the current bridge was opened in 1945. The bridge was named to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Waterloo Road also dates from this time, built on land belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Church of St John the Evangelist, Waterloo Road was constructed from 1822 by the Commissioners for Building New Churches as the population of the parish of Lambeth had significantly increased. After the opening of Waterloo railway station in 1848 the locality around the station and Lower Marsh became known as Waterloo.

The Waterloo Crimson Apartment is a beautifully decorated, 754 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom dwelling (one of the bathrooms is an en-suite to the master bedroom). There are 2 large double beds, and the apartment can house up to 5 guests at once. There is also a balcony in the apartment, and the building conveniently comes equipped with a lift. This apartment is on the 3rd level.

quiet and warm, comfortable and clean

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the waterloo apartments , our apartment was at the rear of the building on the third floor. It warm with underfloor heating and the afternoon sun poured in so was inviting to return to after a long days adventures. Close by the flat are a good array of food stores, cafes and a small super market (in the street) called "the cut" also two well known theaters . It was twenty minute walk to trafalgar square across a picturesque foot bridge with was lovely on a fine day
The beds were comfortable with crisp linen, the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need for a longer stay .
the flat was very quiet and we slept well there though was occasionally some noise from the council flats behind the building which are well screened off . i would definitely stay there again

Location is fantastic. It's walking distance to London eye, Waterloo station and supermarkets. The apartment was very good, spacious, modern and well equipped.

Perfect stay, a great find

I booked the Waterloo apartment last minute as London was very busy and hotels rooms were like gold dust. Boutique lets didnt put up their prices and it was very reasonable for two people needing seperate rooms. the apartment was clean, well located and picking up the keys was easy. Initially sceptical, bowever this is certainly a conpany we will use again. I have alrady answered questions on the forum. For what we paid and the size and location great find. The web site had lots of useful information on how to work everything in the apartment

Perfect accomodations for a family

I was nervous renting an apartment not seen in person, but couldn't be any more pleased with this Waterloo apartment. We were very close to the Waterloo tube / train station, walking distance to groceries stores and exciting London activities (the eye, Big Ben, Westminister abbey). Our 4 daughters (5, 9, 11,13) thoroughly enjoyed their stay in London and felt at home in this apartment. The only thing that would be helpful was a dust pan and a door jam to keep the bedroom doors open. Thank you for a great stay!
