Due the central location of our holiday home, you can visit this national treasure by walking across the road through the wooded path into the park or hop in the car and via main entrance be there in less than two minutes.Our home is very close to the many attractions on offer all within five minutes. We choose this holiday home primarily because of its location and generous size,within the Kerry region. There are lots of beautiful areas in Ireland but Killarney and Kerry have beauty in abundance and the town of Killarney is very pretty indeed..We have been visiting Killarney for over 20 years and really like this majestic region which has spectaular scenery and world renowned beauty. It was easy to decide on this home due to its great location directly across from the lovely Lakes of Killarney and the magnificent Killarney National Park & Muckross House which are all within walking distance.

We fell in love with this home because it was spacious enough for all our family, was in a fabulous location and was also fortunate enough to have a bar and restaurant practically on site just next door. The leisure facilities up the road 500 yds away also attracted us because it meant the children and adults alike had access to a pool and we really liked the fact we could walk out the door across to the National Park for cycling and walking. Being less than five minutes to a lovely vibrant town means we enjoy Mountain & lakeside location with plenty entertainment and restaurants within five minutes.Also we felt when it rains in Ireland as it does tend to do, you have to be near activities to keep both children and adults entertained which we can do from our base in Killarney so easily. We find families enjoy our home because we have equipped it with all the conveniences you would need at home such as Upgraded hi-speed Wifi and Satellite television and a phone service not always available elsewhere. As we use our holiday home ourselves and are not absentee homeowners ,nor we do not employ anyone to manage our home for us, we do take extra care & interest in our holiday rental. We like comfort when travelling so we have tried to ensure everything you will need is readily available for your self catering holiday in our home by the Beautiful Lakes of Killarney.

Beautiful house in a great location!

We were extremely happy during our stay at this lovely and well-equipped townhouse. From the generous welcome basket full of goodies to the spotlessly clean house itself, it could not have been better. The location is excellent for day trips to the surrounding and Killarney itself has so much to offer. It was a magical vacation made even more special by the comfortable and charming house. A wonderful stay in Killarney Holiday Village

Thank you to Valerie Coleman for our wonderful stay in the Killarney Holiday Village. From the clear directions to find our holiday home to the friendly greeting on arrival, everything was made very easy.
A welcome basket greeted us on arrival full of the basics plus some extras, local cheese and even Easter eggs for the kids. Very thoughtful and from that moment you got the feeling Valerie would do anything to make your stay enjoyable and relaxing.
The house was spotless and decorated to a very high standard. There were plenty of towels and the kitchen was very well equipped. WiFi was available which pleased the adolescents no end!.
Location was excellent. About a mile from Killarney town and across the road fro the beautiful National Park. I'd recommend you bring bikes as there is a cycle path to the park and lots to do when you get there. You can also use the sporting facilities in the nearby Gleneagles hotel which includes an 18 hole pitch & putt course which was perfect for the younger ones. The Zip Wire course in the An Oige Hostel, near the Castlerosse Hotel, was a great find. There is a high course for older children and a smaller version for those not so tall.
Cork is only an hour away for some retail therapy so all in all plenty to do.
I thoroughly enjoyed my few days in Valerie's lovely home and would highly recommend it to all.

Wonderful experience at Blarney House

A family trip to Ireland is definitely a significant lifetime event, and when accommodations in a land thousands of miles from home turn out to be superb in every possible way, the experience is nothing short of magnificent.
That’s precisely what we Love family members can report after our recent trip to. We spent four days in Killarney, living each night in the total comforts and lovely atmosphere of Blarney House.
When our six family members walked into the rental, with suitcases in hand, we were immediately amazed at the dining-room table full of delectable goodies that awaited us: fresh apple pie with whipped cream, delicious scones and jam, breakfast cereal, etc.
The sumptuous spread, put out by owner Valerie, was totally unexpected and just one of numerous extra touches we encountered at our Killarney home away from home. Of course, we settled in quickly and gobbled those treats right down to the last bite.
We also thoroughly enjoyed our well-equipped, luxurious townhouse, which answered all our needs with wonderful, cushy beds; attractive, comfortable furniture, washer and dryer and cupboards filled with anything we may need. The interior design throughout was exquisite.
We also appreciated having more than enough soft towels in the bathrooms and lounging in the lovely living room, watching TV or enjoying family time each day, recounting our experiences in Killarney, the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry.
The townhouse, with its patio and large lawn area, is located right next to an excellent restaurant, where some of us dined during two nights of our stay. The paved walking path along the street gave us an opportunity for some scenic morning strolls. Of course, we also admired the pretty green field full of sheep on the nearby hillside.
Our family members all love the people of Ireland as much as its beauty. We especially enjoyed a visit with Valerie who took the time to stop by and meet us. We plan to stay in touch with her and truly hope to return to Killarney in the future.
I love spreading the word about our wonderful accommodations, in spite of the potential down side of possibly having to wait in line for future reservations. We’ll certainly make the effort, though, because we know that any additional stays at Blarney House will make us feel perfectly at home and totally content.

Thoroughly recommend this accommodation!

This self-catering accommodation in Killarney was the location of a perfect long weekend for our party of 7 adults. The house was easy to find just outside the town on the main road to the Torc waterfall and Muckross House tourist attractions.

We found the house spotlessly clean and every electrical / technical feature had clear instructions attached (e.g. how the heating worked). There were more than enough towels and pieces of crockery for our party. As we'd arrived late at night the welcome pack with treats (chocolates and crisps) and essentials (butter, milk, bagels) was manna to our weary bodies!

The WiFi access was excellent. Overall the house was furnished tastefully and with every convenience possible. For example, the coffee machine could be used for cappucinos and lattes. There were numerous DVDs and books available, including guidebooks on the area. The hotel next door was also convenient for any meals we didn't feel like cooking. We would have loved to stay in the house for longer and hope to return soon! Thank you to the owners: well done on such beautiful rental accommodation!

Excellent accommodation

We are 3 couples who stayed for 3 nights. Everything about this place was as we had hoped. We were greeted by Valerie on arrival and she showed us around the house. The dining table was set for 6 with a big hamper with various food items as well. The bedrooms, beds, bathrooms all excellent. Valerie was in touch a few times to ensure things were OK. She also gave us good information about Killarney to help us get around. On the first day she took us to a supermarket so we could get supplies. She also asked us to give her any feedback on any shortcomings with the house to help her ensure that the house was appropriate for guests.
We had meals at home each day and the cooking facilities were good for this.
All in all an excellent house and host. Very highly recommended.
