The Limousin is called the land of the Lakes in France. The Haute Vienne is a green and beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing holiday, or, if your enjoy outdoor pursuits then you can fish, swim, cycle, or meander around the beautiful lakes. Golf is also available at three golf courses near to the house. The market town of Rochechouart is 8km away and has a beautiful chateau and several bars, restaurants and shops also a midnight market in August. Nearby is Oradour Sur Glane the historic memorial village from the second world war. There are also several adventure parks with beautiful picnic spots and the Velo railway is only 20 minutes from the house. The house is situated in a small hamlet with beautiful views over the woodland valley. Summers can be very hot and mostly dry from April until the end of September. The winters can bring snow, nice to sit at the log fire. Rochechouart is the site of the largest meteorite to land on earth, there is an exhibition on this subject in town.

Located in the National park in the Haute Vienne near to the town of Rochechouart and St Junien with lots of space to relax. The house is near Oradour Sur Glane the memorial site from the first world war. A short drive takes you to Lakes with beaches and rivers for swimming, fishing and canoeing. There are also two adventure parks within 20kms of the house and the Velo railway is situated within one of the adventure parks. Limoges is the capital of the Limousin and is famous for its porcelain, it also has a walled city within its boundaries. 3km from the house is a safe and secure cycle path for adults and children cycling through the chestnut trees.

Notes: There are two terraces one surrounding the pool area and one overlooking the valley. Two sets of golf clubs, badminton, soft ball ,lilo's for the pool are all available for guests use. There is also a bookcase with a variety of books and a selection of Cd's and DVDs in the lounge, also games for children. The lounge has a beautiful stone fireplace and guests can make use of the logs stored in the garage during the winter. There is also a tumble dryer for guests use. Pool towels are also provided.
