COYABA GRAND

Coyaba Grand is a stunning villa and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Martha the cleaner came every few days and was excellent. Our only issue was the lack of air conditioning in the living area and top floor bedroom, and solely because of this we would not return to this particular villa in the future. A few basics such as bedside lamps, hairdryers in each room and a general updating of kitchen equipment would not go amiss. However, Greg the owner is a fantastic host and his knowledge of the island is second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and he was always very willing to assist us in anyway he could, including a trip to the medical centre. We would recommend the property if you are not concerned about the air conditioning. There are lots of activities on the island and we particularly enjoyed the segway tour and treetop zip lining, our visit to La Tille Waterfalls, the drive in volcano at Sulphur Springs and the beaches at Pigeon Island and Reduit. We had a fantastic, but very expensive meal at Big Chef Steakhouse and a more reasonably priced, early bird special at the Fire Grill which was also very good. At Rodney Bay Marina, Ocean Club is very good and Roti at the Bread Basket is excellent and very cheap!

As we all know when vacationing in a foreign country or just out of town, it's hard to decide where you will stay based on pictures from the resort's website. Well, have no fear... what you see here, is what you get! An awesome, clean place to stay that's only minutes away from action, but secluded enough to relax without the hustle and bustle of the city.

I would recommend this location for all vacationers and stay-cationers too! Greg goes out of his way to be sure you are comfortable, happy, and making the most out of your time while on the island. Just when you thought you had done it all, he has something or somewhere to share...

During our stay, we resided in the “Coyaba Grand” which afforded us enough space, privacy, and family time all in one. The selection was well worth it!

My family and extended family and friends vacationed in St. Lucia due to my niece’s wedding at Pigeon Island. SunWest Villa was better than the pictures/ The Coyaba Grand was sparkling clean, with a huge kitchen, dining room, living area, and outdoor patios to watch sunsets. The view is breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous. Flowers were in bloom everywhere and the pool was sparkling clean. What really made our trip special besides of all the "sites" was the hospitality of Greg. He took us on a tour of the island and told us where to eat, what to see. He didn't stir us wrong on any of his suggestions. One day I was left behind due to getting motion sickness and not handling the curves too well, so while floating in the pool Greg asked if I was up for a tour. He said, "Do you trust me" (knowing how I felt about diving on curves, well I did and I was one of those fortunate people who got to spend time seeing sites with Greg that I never would have experienced had I visited the Pitons with the rest of my family. Greg personally took me on a tour to a banana plantation and we got to raid some fruit and I got to see up close and experience what most tourists do not get to experience ever. Greg was kind enough to show me the lighthouse, the town of Castries, the Governor's house, and we stopped at the best bakery ever along the plantations. Greg is a very kind and generous man full of wit, intelligence of the island (the man is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge of St. Lucia) and just very generous and accommodating to make sure we were all comfortable. We never wanted for anything while staying there. I will miss talking to Greg and hearing all his funny stories. Greg always has a story to tell! The bride and groom were very disappointed with Sandals and said if they had to do over again they would have definitely stayed at Casaba Grand instead. Don't miss eating at the small eatery at Pigeon Island. Good local food. If you like Tandoori food, you must eat at Razmataz. Absolutely wonderful food. We plan on coming back over and over again and will absolutely stay at SunWest Villa. Greg makes it so very special...You just can't get that kind of service anywhere. Greg really cares about his guests and wants them to experience all that St. Lucia offers. Thanks Greg for the best time ever!
