Beautiful 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms apartment, with an astounding view of the city.

The flat include a spacious living room and a lovely kitchen and is located in the Palazzo Albrizzi historical complex which has belonged to the Albrizzi family since the 18th century.

The flat, decorated in a classical style, is just a walk away from the main Venetian attractions.

GOOD LOCATION; BUT NEEDS UPDATING.

We were two couples looking to rent an apartment in Venice for 5 nights with two bedrooms and bathrooms, so decided on this apartment. Even though there weren't reviews, we decided to take a chance because of it's good location, the ammendities listed, and pictures posted.
Guilio answered all my emails immediately, any questions that I had, and made the rental process very easy. He also came to the apt. on our arrival and assisted with our luggage, which was very kind of him.
The apartment is located in a nice, private courtyard in an older bldg. on the fourth floor, and does have an elevator.
It's in a good location; within walking distance to resturants, stores and tourist desinatations. The apartment walls are loaded with books from floor to ceiling, and has many old pictures, which gave it a quaint, old charm feel.
The many windows supplied a wonderful breeze into all rooms, and had nice views of the city. However, it did not have air-conditioning as listed. This would have been a major problem for us if it was during their hot summer months; thank goodness it was on the cool side the end of Sept. into October. (We definately would have requested a total refund, and moved into a hotel.)
It did have a washing machine, but not a clothes dryer as indicated on their listing. Naturally ,we were disappointed, but survived. (There was a large rack to dry your clothes on.) Guilio explained he did not create the website with the listings of apartment amenities, and wasn't aware those two items were on there. He must have contacted that indiviual immediately, because I noted the air-conditioning and clothes dryer were removed the next day.
The pictures posted of the apartment looked beautiful and very lavish; but they are misleading. The lamps, some funiture, and many items are now out dated, and should be either fixed or replaced.
The bedroom located in the back of the apartment, did not have a comfortable bed mattress; very hard. The bathroom, (even though very large) only had a half-enclosed shower in the tub. This made it difficult without getting water all over.
The bedroom off the livingroom had somewhat of a better mattress, but would suggest the purchase of new, softer pillowtop mattresses for both, including new pillows. The bathroom off the hall, was very small, and the door did close completely, and would not lock. (It did have an enclosed shower.)
On the plus side, the kitchen was good, and had everything you required to cook any meals.

This idyllic apartment, with a beautiful view over the entire city, is situated 5 minutes from the Rialto bridge and the fish and vegetable market. It is part of the Palazzo Albrizzi historical complex and belongs to the Albrizzi family since the 18th century. The square of San Marco is only 10 min walking distance as well as the most important museums and churches such as St. Marks Square, Accademia, Cà Rezzonico, S.Maria Gloriosa dei Frari (Titian paintings) and Scuola di S.Rocco (Tintoretto).
