Poor standars

I was shocked at the condition of the property the moment I arrived. The exterior of the building is littered with garbage. The interior hall and stairs leading to the apartment the same. The front door to the street couldn't be opened widely to comfortably pull in luggage because there was a huge table and tv set behind blocking it for the whole week of our stay!. The apartment is very basic, clean enough to show barely adequate but not so the plates and utensils in the cabinets, or the refrigerator turned off and closed so the smell was putrid. There was also a bag of ice, now turned into water inside overflowing and dripping to the floor. The bedding was clean, and so the towels. Some of the pots were rusty, the water kettle didn't work and there was no coffee maker.
Having said that, Tom and Joe corrected some of the problems and are courteous and friendly. The deposit was returned promptly. Also, the location is practical, though noisy. We found the best way to move around London was using the bus stop just around the corner. It took us everywhere and gave us a chance to see London from the bus on our way to places rather than getting in the tube. Also, it's an easy walk to Queensway, Bayswater, Notting Hill, Portobello..We enjoyed the local pubs.

Thanks for taking the time to give feedback, and Im sorry that the flat did not meet your expectations. We try very hard to make sure our apartment is as stated and we rectify anything that is not to your satisfaction immediately as you have testified.
We advertise this as a 'value' apartment. Its not expensive compared to most properties advertised in London and we have had dozens of very happy customers over the years stay with us and enjoy economic accommodation close to central London.
Obviously the actions of another resident of the building has had an impact on your stay, so we will address this issue moving forward.
