The house is in an elevated position above Villemagne L'Aregntiere. It has 2 comfortable double bedrooms one with built in wardrobe, large living / dining room, bathroom and WC and kitchen. The large fully equipped modern kitchen has gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom has a large walk in shower with over head shower, basin and WC. The living room has a large 4 seater leather sofa, arm chair, dining table and a large open wood burning fire (for colder months!) with fully stocked log supply in the cave. There is wireless broadband; TV with built in DVD player (and a selection of DVDs); amplifier and speakers to connect laptop or iPod, etc.; there is a large south facing terrace which has the benefit of sunshine all day throughout the summer. Timber table and 4 dining chairs / bench and 2 loungers and BBQ. Two lightweight mountain bikes are also available. The house has a fishing license.
The house is situated in the Haut Languedoc National Park in an elevated location amid secluded woodland above the medieval village of Villemagne l'Argentiere and river Mare. There are stunning views from the house over local vineyards & surrounding hills. The outdoor area has upper and lower south facing terraces offering outdoor dining and sun bathing opportunities. There is a small golf club and thermal spa at nearby Lamalou les Bains. Other activities include horse-riding, mountain biking, hiking, hill walking, canoeing, fishing and river swimming. For city visits, Montpellier, Carcasonne and Nimes are a great day out and the nearby smaller towns of Pezanas, Beziers, Olargues and Marseillen are great for local markets, historic buildings and good food. There are a great selection of local vineyards nearby or just relax on the terrace with a glass of fine wine and enjoy the view or take a 5 min walk to the Michelin star restuarant at Abbaye de Villemagne in the village.
