The Beaufort area is a charming town with friendly people and a relaxed beautiful atmosphere. The cottage is very quiet, quaint and cozy with a waterfront deck and a 180 degree view of water. Evening sunsets can be enjoyed with a very short walk to a waterfront deck across the street.Fish and crab directly from the back deck or at the water access across the street as well.Located right beside a public boat landing with ample parking, bring your boat! Kayak stand on property.
Very quiet area surrounded by water views. The sun comes up behind the cottage overlooking the water and you can enjoy the sun from sunrise to about 4:00-5;00 pm. on the back deck. Also a front shady porch for napping. 2 beautiful parks on Pigeon Point Road. Great biking and walking in a safe beautiful area.
We enjoyed four fun-filled weeks at the cottage. It was just perfect for a couple and a dog. The location is "as good as it gets", in our opinion. We brought along our Boston Whaler and we were able to store it conveniently on the property and pop it in at the public landing, which is just steps away, At the same time, the cottage cannot be viewed from the public landing (or the street, really) because of its setback, as well as all the vegetation, live oaks, Spanish moss and flowering shrubs. Our dog loved the 3 parks on Pigeon Point, and one is just across the street. The highlight for us was the waterside deck and all that life on a tidal river has to offer.
We loved our week in the cottage and hope to go again. It's a beautiful area, quiet and private, which is just what we wanted. This is not a fancy place and could use some updates, but it's clean and has the perfect deck. We loved the marsh, the waterway, and watching the birds and boats. Beaufort has some wonderful restaurants and we enjoyed several trips to Hunting Island State Park to walk on the beach
Adorable cottage right on the water. The relaxing back porch provided awesome nature watching i.e. daily dolphin sightings, bird watching and all types of boats floating by. The cottage is a short drive from Charleston and Savannah which made day trips enjoyable. Beaufort is a gorgeous town loaded with history and southern hospitality. We enjoyed sightseeing by boat and horse drawn carriage. The cottage is a perfect place to kick back and relax. We did not want to leave.
The cottage is comfortable and cozy. Don't expect luxury but if you are looking for a place to rest and relax this is it. It is true everything is provided, just bring your clothes and your food. It is very private and quiet at the cottage and we enjoyed the deck overlooking the marsh every afternoon. We also enjoyed the park across the street viewing some spectacular sunsets. We watched a mother raccoon and her babies several times fishing at high tide. We saw dolphins every day. There were boats of every description. We definitely plan to visit again.
My daughter and I stayed for a week here at this cottage and we simply loved it! It's cozy, comfortable, and peaceful. We enjoyed the private deck overlooking the waterway and saw the most beautiful sunrise. We saw dolphins every day. This cottage is the complete package for a fun and relaxing vacation.
the enclosed deck overlooking the water way and the dog friendly parks near by my this a great spot for vacationing with dogs. I walked into town, really convenient location. Its not disability friendly. The owners are out of state but did respond to phone calls.
