Carbon-neutral holidays: Morada do Sol is committed to preserving the beautiful Sintra- Cascais National Park in which it is located: a tree is planted for every booking through the Oxigénio initiative run by the local municipality. Guests receive a certificate dedicated to the person of their choice; during their stay they can visit the plantation area and get involved with the initiative if they wish. This is the perfect way to offset carbon emissions during the holiday, and feel you are contributing to a greener future.

The large, covered pool means the water is warm enough for you to swim from April to November although you are free to use it all year round; sliding doors allow you to catch a cooling breeze in the summer months. The extensive and well-kept gardens with their grand pine tree drive and many areas and spaces of different character have wonderful displays of colour for most of the year and the mature palm trees provide delightful summer shade. Help yourself to fresh tomatoes, lettuces, apples, pears, lemons, oranges, figs and pomegranates from the orchard and vegetable garden, all biologically produced.

In winter, relax by a log fire and contemplate the view down a green and unspoilt valley to the sea, or the mystical Sintra hills behind. Enjoy the outdoor ball games area, swings and sauna all year round.

Guests can therefore rest assured this is a bona fide quality rental property, and that safety standards are abided to. Morada do Sol is the only holiday rental self-catering property to be fully licensed with the 'Turismo de Lisboa' in the Cascais area.

Surfing and bodyboard holidays: We are only 3km from the world famous Guincho beach which has optimum conditions for surfing, and we have one if the best surfing shops in our village; there is a good surfing and body board school in Guincho beach where you can improve your skills or equipment can be rented.

This secluded, tranquil and private 5000m2 estate is fully fenced in and reached through automatic gates leading to a beautiful pine tree driveway. All units in the estate are well maintained and comfortable. The relaxed 'rural chic' atmosphere provides the ideal setting to recharge your batteries and enjoy the simpler pleasures of life.

Morada do Sol can be rented on an exclusive basis to host events such as 'zen' days, retreats, private parties, and corporate team building.

Every group is personally welcomed and given an insight of the area, tips and recommendations. We can offer additional services on request, such as massage, meal preparation, 'take-home-chef' and additional cleaning. Retreats can also be arranged.
