'Podere il Giurato“ (adv.71159)and ”Terra Casa Rossa”, situated only 600m from one another, are beautiful place to spend you holiday in Tuscany. Fauglia is conveniently located in the countryside between the delightful cities of Livorno and Pisa about 15 km from the sea. Both properties are traditional Tuscan country houses which boast traditional style with special touches which make one fell immediately at home. Both houses are provided with lovely swimming pools 8x16 mt.. Thanks to a favourable geographical position, from here it is easy for those who love a cultural holiday to reach the most important cities of art of Tuscany, like Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Volterra.

Farmhouses “Podere il Giurato” and “Terra Casa Rossa” are divided in eight self-catering apartments that have been restructured according to the style of the house.The farm is open all year due to the different fascinating shades of colours in the autumn and in the winter.

The lounge is very well furnished in traditional style The kitchen is fully equipped . One bedroom has traditional beamed ceilings and terracotta floors.,and the other one is smaller but perfect for two children. They are well furnished with colourful rugs, pretty curtains and lots of pictures on the walls giving the apartment a very warm atmosphere. The apartment has its own area in the garden with table and chairs and sun umbrella. One Bedroom with double bed. One Bedroom with two single beds, 1 bathroom with shower cubicle with basin and WC. For 2 adults or a family with two children.

Great holiday

My family and I stayed here last year (early Sept 08) booking 3 of the apartments, my parents in 1, sister in another and myself, husband and 3 children (11yrs, 9 yrs & 18 mths) all stayed in one of the ground floor apartments. We all had a wonderful time and it was a great place for all ages, we didn't find a fault with any of the apartments and the place inside and out was spotless. The local village of Fauglia had pretty much everything you needed inc. chemist and bank plus the local supermarket about 15 mins away was great for the initial stock up of provisions. It is in a great location for day trips to Pisa, Florence, Sienna, Luca plus many other lovely little villages and after a great day sightseeing there was nothing better that to return to the villa and it's beautiful pool. We have already booked for this year as there are so many lovely places to visit in Tuscany and this villa was the perfect base for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

The perfect holiday

From the moment we arrived we were so happy with this place. The apartment had everything we could possibly need and was very clean and comfortable.
The pool area was amazing, very peaceful at times and great fun at others.The pool was of such a good size that it was never crowded.The play area was a great shady retreat for our youngest who could have played in the sandpit forever!
The estate with fields full of race horses was nice to walk around in the evening as the sun was going down.
The outdoor seating areas were perfect for lunch or a bottle of wine in the evening.
Paola the owner was so helpful and went out her way to ensure everyone was looked after. When one of the kids needed hospital treatment she led us to the hospital in Pisa and stayed with us all the time to ensure we got seen to quickly and got the right treatment. We can not thank Paola enough for a wonderful stay.
Normally after a 2 week holiday we are ready to come home but we could have stayed here forever!
We didnt feel the need to do too many day trips as the place was so relaxing and enjoyable but we did venture to Lucca twice, Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano, all were within easy reach and well worth visiting.
There wasn't a huge amount of restaurants in the immediate vicinity to chose from for evening meals but this didnt bother us and one in a neighbouring village surrounded by fields of sunflowers served us very well with excellent pizza, pasta and steaks cooked to perfection.
We would highly recommend Casa Terra Rossa to anyone young or old it was perfect for our family of 5 so thank you Paola we hope to meet again.

For sure a home, away....

La Magnifica is a beautifull place to stay and Paola and Stefano make you feel at home, the moment you arrive. The house is situated on a large property (ranch) with jumping horses and the appartments are spacious, well equipped and clean. The pool is great and in the garden there are lots of facilities, which makes La Magnifica an ideal place to spend your holiday with children.

From Fauglia you can drive easily the a wealth of interesting places, such as Pisa, Volterra, Lucca, etc.

In the area you find a large number of good restaurants for a fare price. Also excellent restaurants can be found within 15 minutes drive at higher prices, but less than half the price of what you would pay in The Netherlands.

We, with our 2 boys (7 and 10 years old), loved staying with Paolo and Stefano and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

perfect location, perfect service

We had an amazing week in Fauglia in this house me and my 3 children.
We enjoyed the view, the city trips as much as the company of paola en the other visitors on that moment. The horses were gorgeous, the girls enjoyed watching them and the hospitality was great. Even when we stayed in the whole day, there was always something to do, also for the children..the pool is great and refreshing en everything in the house was very clean
We'll be back for sure, no doubt about it..
and thank you again Paola for this wonderful holiday en for your concern with the delay of our flight.

The most charming and fantastic place in Toscana.

Aboslutely most charming and fantastic house and surroundings.
We stayed in Casa Margherita and was very satisfied with all the facilities. The house is typical Toscan old style, and was modernised indoor - but still keep its charm.
The garden and pool is absolutely fantastic.
Location is remote, but still very convinient if you wish to visit Firenze, Bolgheri, Pisa and great wine routes. The Toscan landscape is simply fantastic.
You have a very charming town of Fauglia nearby with great dining.
The owners are very helpful and kind and assisted us in finding good day trips and places to dine.
The only reason I do not give 5 stars is that the internet was difficult to connect to.
I can highly recommend Casa Rosa, and sincerely hope that we will be back again.
It has been the most fantastic vacation we have had for a long time.
Fantastic food - fantastic wine - fantastic place.
