Villa Annamaria was built around 300 years ago... in late 17th century. There's a date engraved on one of the villa's chimneys: 1697.... it is located in the historical center of Domaso, an ancient fishermen village on the northern shores of Lake Como . The Villa is in a very quiet area ideal for relaxing but still very close to all commodities: the beach is just 300m. away - within 100m. there are bars, restaurants, pizzeria, shops, grocery stores, post office, bank, fitness center, beauty salon and hair dresser, bus and boat stop for your day trips. Domaso is the best place on Lake Como for Windsurfing ( you'll find two of the best schools in Europe within a two minute walk from the villa) and also for all water activities (swimming, Sailing, Water-skiing, power boat riding, fishing). Great trails for Mountain biking, or just walking. A great Golf course (18h.) is just 20Km away. Ideal location for lovely day trips to world-famous spots like Bellagio, St.Moritz, Lugano, Milano, Como.

Enjoy guided tours of the many ancient churches and historical locations (Mussolini was captured in Dongo) - the natural park 'Oasi del Pian di Spagna' is just 10 minutes away with a multitude of rare birds and can be visited with the guide of a park ranger - great dining in many restaurants and possibility of visiting various wineries - Domaso is an ideal location for day trips to world-famous spots like Bellagio, St.Moritz, Lugano, Milano, Como by either bus, boat, car or train.

Other Activities: winter skiing: 3 major ski area can be reached in about 1 hour

Lovely Villa Anna Maria

We stayed at the Villa Anna Maria in the smallest unit called Rustica. It was rustic in that it did not have the the lovely painted ceilings and inlaid floors of the two other apartments, but for the price we were very happy. The owner was friendly, helpful, and willing to give you tips about getting around to see the sights near Lake Como. The location of Domaso and the location of the villa was perfect for the sightseeing that we did. A car is a necessary.
The apartment was clean and well stocked with dishes, and linens.
We had a microwave, stove and refrigerator. We brought our own hairdryer. The swimming pool was available although we didn't have time to use it.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
