I have been back in my home country for a week now and I still can't stop thinking about this place. We spent an amazing 10 days here at the end of 6 week holiday, and it was by far the best place we stayed in. The house is lovely and set in a huge amazing garden, full of peacocks and other birds, the occasional monkey, monitor lizards and even rabbits. Piyadasa, the caretaker, was amazing, always on hand with a freshly picked coconut when we were thirsty or back from an excursion, he lit the bbq when we needed and helped by making the beds and cleaning the bathrooms. He was amazing with our children, playing endless games of cricket and ball with them. What a privilege to be invited to his home to meet his wife and children! And he was always willing to bike it to the shop to get us what we needed. The beach is literally like a postcard beach and we loved swimming in the waves every day - We didn't spend much time in Tangalla, it has all the regular shops, I think Dikwella probably has a better Food City (sells beer) than Tangalla. We used a driver and guide called Sunil and he was awesome too, we visited the area around Tangalla and Yala and Kataragama with him.
I was a bit upset that there was no Internet... but actually looking back on things I didn't need it. Mr Rohan sent someone to add more channels to the TV for the kids so they were happy with that. I wish we had spent more of our holiday there and you will definitely be seeing us again Mr Rohan!!
Thank you for a truly lovely stay and the gift of the extra night!

We were so happy staying in the bungalow. The gardens are so beautiful filled with palm trees, flowers, exotic birds, peacocks and a path leading directly onto a stunning beach.
The bungalow is very spacious, very clean and well kept with everything you could possibly need for your stay.
Piyadasa the caretaker/manager is a lovely man, so helpful and really looks after you.
We will definitely recommend it to all our friends and hope to return one day soon.

We have stayed a week in this lovely colonial house with our family, two adults and three young childs. It was a very good time! The house is perfect: enough space, very clean and a big, big garden. Our children have learned how to play cricket in this garden!
The beach is nearby and very good foor swimming.
The housekeeper, Piyadasa, is a very kindly man who looks good to us. Every day we enjoy the coconuts, he made for us when we came from the beach!
It's easy to make a trip with a driver to the national parks, the blow Hole.
A very good place to stay during your holiday on SriLanka!
