Metato is an old and sunny village above Camaiore, at the foothills of Mount Prana.In Metato a document t can be found, dating back to the 10th century, but only with reference to the place whose name (Metato) comes fromrived from the characteristic structure where chestnuts were once dried. The village church was built along with the bell tower in the eighteenth century. You can partecipate in many activities during your stay here such as trips to the closer resorts like Lido di Camaiore (12km), Viareggio (14), Forte dei Marmi (18), and Tuscan cities, for example Pisa (20) , Lucca (18) and Florence (90). Otherwise you can enjoy fantastic climbing and mountain biking or hiking in the Apuan Alps, or golf, surfing, windsurfing, sailing and fishing in the Mediterranean. Metato, immersed in the beautiful Natural Park of the Apuan Alps, is at the center of a territory rich in history, culture, good cuisine and fun.
Ski: The house is in a secluded spot but is also close to the village.The village has communal parking which is very safe, from where you can easily access the house, on foot, through the old village of Metato.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes to walk up to the house.From the parking lot, you walk 400 meters up a small hill, with some climbs, to Napiaia. We organize transportation of luggage.
