Luxury villa with private 10 x 5 m overflow pool (can be heated)

We just returned from a really wonderful stay at Villa Leto in April. We travelled with our two young children (aged 2 and 5) and my mother. The villa is comfortable, modern and very well-kept. The kitchen/dining/living area is spacious and well laid-out, and opens onto a beautiful sunny terrace and immaculately kept garden, with a good-sized, lovely and warm swimming pool. There is a flat lawned area, ideal for toddlers, and the pool has wide, shallow steps, which was perfect for my 2-year-old and my mother!
The villa is part of a very attractive development with a hotel with restaurants and kids club etc, and a handy supermarket (too expensive for a big shop but ideal when you run out of milk/wine!)
The villa is managed for the owners by a local English company. They are really excellent. They were extremely helpful, and on a couple of occasions when we had small issues (a toilet which stopped flushing, and wifi that didn't work), we rang them and they came within a couple of hours and fixed them on the spot. They were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Both the pool-cleaner and gardener came during our stay and they obviously kept the villa really well. The villa's owner Hema was also extremely efficient and helpful in the run-up to our stay and responded quickly and patiently to all my queries and concerns.
A last word on my favourite subject - pool heating. I have had a few holidays ruined by pools which were too cold to be in with children (when you do a lot of floating around and helping them but not much swimming!) Maybe in August this isn't too much of an issue but in April it's a must. However it seems that you can't guarantee this even in really expensive hotels. We went down to the hotel on the resort to look around one day (and the kids spent the morning in the kids club, which they thought was great fun) and there was no-one in the pool apart from a few blue-lipped toddlers in wet suits. I put my toe in and understood why - it was unheated, and freezing! How smug we were then to return to our lovely villa and jump into our wonderfully warm pool where the kids could genuinely spend hours without getting chilled. I think we paid an extra £180 pw for it but it was money very well spent!

Altogether a really good villa holiday - we would love to go back and highly recommend it.
