Situated just 15 minutes drive from Playa de Las Americas on the south coast of Tenerife is the coastal village of Callao Salvaje.

The duplex C6 of Callao Salvaje is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Its location makes it a popular area to live for those who want to be near the 'action' but not stuck in the middle of it as it is situated between the bustling resort of Playa de Las Americas and the tranquil resort of Los Gigantes.

Originally, a small fishing village, over the past few years Callao Salvaje has undergone a rapid transformation. A self-contained village with a mix of residential homes and holiday resort and all the amenities required for both. There are supermarkets, a pharmacy, bars, restaurants, shops, car hire, bank etc. and only a 20-minute drive from the airport.

Callao Salvaje is a convenient base from which to explore Tenerife, only 10 minutes from areas such as Fañabe where you can find stunning natural and man-made beaches. Callao Salvaje's close proximity to the motorway makes getting around the island easy, whether it is heading north into Teide National Park or south towards the lively resorts, And, don’t worry if you don’t drive, there are plenty of buses and taxis linked to Callao Salvaje that will take you around the island.

Fabulous!

I have just returned from a fabulous two week family holiday. The duplex was a fantastic base for our stay. The rooms were clean and airy, the garden was lovely and had the sun till it sipped from the sky and the pool was great for a cooling off dip. Callao Salvaje is quiet but still has a number of good restaurants, the beach was lovely as it was so uncrowded. Having a car with the apartment was a real bonus, we travelled all over the island, into the mountains and to other beaches. Snorkelling with giant turtles in a nearby cove was a definite highlight. It would have been nice to have had some information about the area and things to do in the apartment. We hope to return again in the future.

Great holiday at Tenerife

The host has two the same houses(C6 and C7). We stayed in C7 (four adults). The house is very comfortable and clean as well as the garden and the pool. The host very quickly responded to all our requests. We liked at Tenerife and we hope to return.

Great place to stay

We have just spent a great week here with our 5 year old twins. The house is in a great position with all amenities in Callao Salvaje just a very short walk away. It is a very peaceful setting and very well equipped. The pool is perfect - if you want it heated mention this before arrival. All correspondence with the owner both before and during our stay was very good. The free wifi was a bonus and I would not hesitate to return.

Highly recommended

This is an excellent duplex very close to the airport and near to the attractions of the area. It was beautifully presented and very clean with very good furnishings and satellite TV. The garden was great and the pool very very clean and heated (for a additional cost organised through the owner). The supplied crockery, etc were all brand new.

A short walk away is a centre with shops and bars and a man made beach but all the other attractions are only a short drive away.

I would have no hesitation of recommending it to anyone with one small caveat. It has steep marble stairs and there is no stair gate supplied so we were slightly nervous about our small daughter. This means the duplex is perhaps more suitable for older children or bring your own gate.

Overall a very modern, very clean duplex with a fantastic pool. The owner was very helpful in answering all my questions before we booked and during the stay. It is very much as described on the site.

SEJOUR FORMIDABLE...

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à ténérife cette maison est tout simplement génial pas cher, propre et spacieuse. On avait tout à proximité une petite plage à même pas 500m des restaurants et supermarchés à 200m à pied. La piscine c'était super on se baigné même la soir...
On ne savait pas parler ni l'anglais ni l'espagnol mais ça va avec quelques mots on nous comprenait. À notre arriver à ténérife on nous attendait au parking de l'aéroport on nous a restitué les clés de la voiture et on nous a accompagné jusqu'à la maison. On reviendra certainement dans cette maison pour nos prochaines vacances cette fois ci avec nos enfants car là nous sommes parti en amoureux.

Nous remercions le propriétaire qui était trés gentil et disponible du début jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour.

Tolles Haus, wir kommen wieder!

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in dem Haus. Empfangen wurden wir am Flughafen, dort haben wir den Mietwagen erhalten und wurden zum Haus begleitet. Frisches Obst und Wasser stand für uns bereit.
Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen Teil des Ortes. Es sind von dort aber nur 2 Minuten zu den Geschäften, Restaurants und zum Strand.
Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist gut und funktionell. Es ist alles für den täglichen Bedarf vorhanden. Zum Kochen sollten man sich aber selber noch ein scharfes Messer mitbringen. Schön wäre natürlich noch eine Spülmaschine.
An manchen Stellen im Haus erkennt man die Abnutzung, die sich aber wirklich in Grenzen hält.
Etwas ungemütlich ist die lediglich vorhandene Deckenbeleuchtung, die teilweise aus eiskalten Energiesparlampen besteht, das ist etwas schade.
Der Garten und Pool ist top! Uns war das Poolwasser dann doch etwas zu kalt, für 10 Euro am Tag kann man ihn aber heizen lassen. Das lohnt sich bezüglich der Pooltemperatur und der Poolbeleuchtung! Die Beleuchtung ist total schön am Abend. Leider funktioniert die Poolbeleuchtung nur wenn der Generator der Poolheizung läuft. Sobald der Pool einmal aufgeheizt ist, läuft der Generator nur wenige Stunden am Morgen und nicht mehr Abends, so dass die Poolbeleuchtung dann nicht mehr funktioniert. Das ist sehr schade.

Negatives gibt es kaum zu berichten. Vielleicht dass die Treppe sehr steil ist und kein Treppengeländer hat. An einer Stelle kam im Wohnzimmer ein nicht isoliertes Kabel aus der Wand. Das könnte etwas kritisch für Kinder sein. Im Klo im Erdgeschoss und im Garten riecht es an heißen Tagen gelegentlich nach Kanalisation aus den Abflüssen. Und das Haus ist recht hellhörig, so dass man bei lauten Nachbarn Pech haben kann. Alles in allem ist das aber insgesamt halb so wild.

Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich gut ist! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank an das Team!
