This beautifully renovated house is in the small town of Villa Nueva de Algaidas near Antequera. As we live in a Cortijo only 5 min away we are always available to assist you and help with any matters that may arise. The house boasts 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, on first floor and 1 single bedroom (with the option of an additional pull out bed). Both the upstairs bedrooms lead, through French windows, onto a large U shaped first floor terrace with views over the countryside and village and overlooking the pool. There is ample room for a cot in one of the downstairs rooms, which can be supplied if required. 2 modern shower-rooms. Well equipped, kitchen with dining/breakfast bar, dish washer and fridge/freezer. Living/television room with comfortable sofa, Freesat UK TV. DVD player, Music centre. Moroccan room with sofas for relaxing. Leading off the kitchen is the Central patio, ideal for summer dining. Not forgetting the magnificent private patio with non-chlorinated 8 x 4m pool.

Haven of peace in the center of a small village

In a small village, in the middle of olive trees, a typically Andalusian house.The swimming pool (with salt, not Chlorine) is very pleasant and the house is clean, practical and possesses all the necessity for a carefree stay. All the small shops are nearby. The positioning is perfect to visit the main sites (Granada, Córdoba and Málaga around 1 hour and Sevilla 2 hours). Finally, Mike's welcome is very nice. So, we'll come back, surely, soon as possible!

The salt water pool is certainly one of the features of which we are particularly proud as it provides crystal clear water without the possible side effects of pools treated with chlorine. All amenities are available locally and the house is ideally situated for visiting the many attractions in the region.

Our escape to los tres ninos

Our holiday this year, was organised 3weeks before we arrived. Hats off to manager:Mike who smoothed the whole thing out, and welcomed us at the door!
The villa is as described in every way, and presented in an immaculate manner.

The kids loved having their own quarters, and getting the family showered took half the time owing to the two excellent shower rooms.

Bedrooms were very well sized and beds were comfy and as described.

The kitchen facilities are superb, and really reduce the need to eat out at all! However the bars/restaurants almost outnumber the residents in this lovely tiny village.

The pool is a good size for a family and being non chlorinated-no stinging eyes!! If people wanted a bigger pool, there is a much larger municpal one at the very top of the village.

The village does have some narrow streets which we preferred to explore on foot, the kids found a bakery that sold 30cm chocolate filled pastries!

The remaining facilities made the stay that much more pleasant, the dishwasher and washing machine were very welcome at times, The freesat gave us ample access to uk news during the 'wild fire' that broke out in Marbella!


Not only am I recommending this place to friends, we're looking at dates for next year ourselves.

Owner's Response: It's great when our guests leave having thoroughly enjoyed their holiday. We do everything we can to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. A lot of thought has gone into renovating Los Tres Niños to a high modern standard yet retaining the charm of a small Spanish village property. The pool, which has a salt water electrolysis system is wonderful and set in a lovely patio area, overlooking the countryside.

Lovely house but noisy dogs around..

We stayed for one week in August and the house was perfect for the five of us. It's well-equipped and modern. We absolutely loved the pool. You can find everything you need in Villanueva: a small supermarket, baker's, butcher's, etc..From here, it's quite a short drive to Malaga orCordoba. We recommend hiking el Torcal de Antequera, it's amazing.
The problem is, there are lots of dogs in the neighbourhood and they keep barking from dusk to dawn. We thought it was a nuisance because we are not used to that.
Overall, it's been a pleasant stay, quite an authentic experience.

Owner's Response: We are very pleased that the family enjoyed their holiday at the beautifully restored Casa de Los Trés Niños. As they have said, their is so much to do when you are based here, so centrally to the many attractions that await you. This is a rural, working community and here you will experience Spain as it really is and not the manicured artificial tourist Spain of the coast.

Los Tres Niños is a town house that has recently been sympathetically renovated to a high standard. It is situated in the village of Villa Nueva de Algaidas which is located in the rolling hills and olive groves of Andalucia. Approximately 20 min away is the nearest large town of Antequera, with its shops and 14 churches and is approximately one hours drive from Malaga Airport. Villa Nueva De Algaidas is a typically Spanish village where the locals are very friendly and welcoming. Virtually all shopping needs are serviced in the village and there are also a number of Tapas and other bars and restaurants. A local market is held every Friday. The village of Villanueva de Algaidas is situated in an ideal location, central to the main attractions of the region, such as La Alhambra (Granada), Córdoba, Sevilla, Ronda and of course La Costa del Sol.

Golf: The beautiful Antequera golf course is set in the Gandia Mountains, which are 650 m above sea level, surrounded by the spectacular natural park of El Torcal and overlooking the historic City of Antequera. It is an 18 hole course of over 6,000 m length. Special offers are available to guests Los Tres Niños, please enquire for those available at the time of your holiday.

Ski: The magnificent Sierra Nevada Ski resort is only 1 1/2 hours drive away and it is therefore possible to achieve a full days skiing and return to the house in one day. The resort has all the expected ski facilities including equipment hire. Being the most southerly and highest ski resort in Europe it offers skiing from December through March in a normal year. The slopes are above tree line and consist of all levels from nursery slopes to black runs. Ski lessons are available and can be booked on-line or at the resort (subject to availability).

Notes:
The property would be suitable for the elderly, infirm or mobility impaired if using the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise there are some steep stairs to the first floor. There are some steps up to the patio/pool area. There is no specific wheelchair access and the house has not been wheelchair modified but the house does have wide entrance doors from the street. Please note that the pool is open from 1st June to 30th September but may be available at other times depending upon temperature and weather.
