The Southwark Apartment is a newly built block set within a location that is very close to a wide range of some of London's most well-known attractions. Apartments within this building have been called 'the ultimate city living experience', based on its accessibility and ultra-modern decor.

Local Attractions : South Bank, a significant arts and entertainment district, is only a short walk away. The Old Vic, a historic theatre that was established in 1818, is just 2 minutes by foot from the apartment. The Anchor & Hope, a wonderful, local gastropub, is 5 minutes away. The London Eye, which is Europe's tallest ferris wheel and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, is only a short walk away. The Design Museum, famed for being the alleged first museum of modern design, is also in the area. Shakespeare's Globe, a reconstruction of the burned-down Globe Theatre, is one of London's best playhouses. Trafalgar Square, a public space that is often used for political demonstrations and community gatherings, is near to the apartment. Big Ben, the great bell of the clock at the north end of the famed Palace of Westminster, is just across the river.

A Good Location

A good location. Very near to The Embankment and train/tube stations. Helpful staff on phone when change of door code required. Door code entry and self check in saved a lot of time. Supply of essentials and equipment very good and welcome. Very comfortable and clean beds.

This apartment was soooo great! We Loved everything. The location is great, just 5 minutes walking by The London Eye. The place was very clean, everything was working good, and they even putted little hearts off chocolat over our beds. We couldn't be more satisfied than that!

Great Time in London

The family had a great time in London and enjoyed the cleanness and convenience of the flat. Good location to get to most tourist sites. Wireless worked well. The main down side for a family was that the flat is very close to a pub that can be noisy until it shuts down late; especially in the summer when you may want the windows open for cool, fresh air.

Excellent flat. Very good location.

We arrived in London after a long layover. When we arrived at the flat we were exhausted and were apprehensive as we initially could not find the address for the flat clearly marked on the building. However, we found the address after a momentary search and entered the building. When we entered the flat it was clean, well laid out and had nice amenities. We initially had an issue with our front door and I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently it was dealt with by boutique London lets. Within 1.5 hours of receiving my call on a Saturday night, boutique London lets had a repairmen perform maintenance to repair the issue. Needless to say, we were all impressed with boutique London lets service.

The location is great! It is about an eight to ten minute walk to the nearest tube station (Waterloo). However, if you are inclined to walk through London, the southwark apartment is an ideal starting location. Also, there are some nice restaurants and dinner theatre in the near vicinity of the building.

Our concern we had when we booked the apartment was the reports of noise. However, I live on a major road in a big urban centre and the street noise at the southwark apartment was significantly less than I am used to at home. All and all it wasn't loud at all with the exception of some street traffic. However, the bar beneath us was vacant during our stay and if ithad been busy, any patrons outdoor would have been a few floors below our bedroom windows.

To summarize, it was an excellent apartment in a safe and central location. Not only that, boutique London lets attentiveness to our needs and it's efficiency in delivering our requested services was extraordinarily impressive. I would recommend this company and apartment for anyone looking to rent in London.

Southwark is a very historic borough of London; it got its name in the 9th century, and was first settled during the Roman period. Located directly south of the River Thames and forming part of Inner London, Southwark is home to many fabulous landmarks, including the Tower Bridge, the Millenium Bridge, and the London Bridge. Shard London Bridge, which is under construction, at the moment, will be the tallest building in the entire European Union when complete. Also of note in this area are its many historic places of worship, including Charles Spurgeon's Metropolitan Tabernacle, Southwark Cathedral, St. Mary's Cathedral, and even St. George the Martyr, the oldest church in Greater London, dedicated to England's Patron Saint. Another interesting tidbit about Southwark is that it's the place where novelist Charles Dickens grew up, and where many of his famed stories take place.
