The house is tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
The Midi-Pyrénées / Aveyron region: Le Pradel is located in the heart of the Midi-Pyrénées/Aveyron region, surrounded by medieval villages and Bastide towns. Within the area lie the Tarn Gorges, the famous Millau Bridge (the highest in the world), Albi with it’s stunning Cathedral and Toulouse Lautrec Museum, Conques, boasting it’s rich collection of treasures dating from the 8th Century and of course the capital city of Toulouse.
There are also many “Grands Sites de Midi-Pyrénées” to explore, including Figeac, Cahor, St-Cirque-Lapopie, Rocamadour and Cordes-sur-Ciel. The area is home to many fine restaurants to suit all tastes - including 3 with Michelin stars within an hours drive (Belcastel, Sauveterre-de-Rouergue and Rodez).

We stayed in the house for one week with two families with a total of 5 kids and really enjoyed our stay. The house is fantastic and comfortable. The heated pool and the garden are wel maintained. Everything that you could think of is available. Nice fully equiped kitchen two fridges soap towels for the pool, a table tennis table, garden furniture, wash machine, etc. etc.
Heather and Martin are a fantastic couple that make sure that you get that 5 star feeling.
We were surprised to find a rental with such beautiful and tasteful interior decoration and high quality furnishings as Le Pradel has -- the photos on their listing don't do it justice. Our favorite room was the kitchen, which is unusually well equipped and has that large dining table. We also really liked the covered dining area outside next to the pool. But the whole property is very impressive and liveable. Located on a paved road off the highway Le Pradel is especially private and quiet yet very accessable to the wonderful sites and beautiful villages of this area and within minutes of needed shopping. And last, but not least, the property is managed by a local English couple who were very helpful in handling any special requests and offering suggestions of site visits and good dining, of which there are plenty of both. We had a wonderful visit at Le Pradel and look forward to returning.
Le Pradel is within striking distance of many historical and interesting villages. A short drive will take you to the medieval Bastide village of Najac (one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”), and it’s 13th Century castle. Twenty minutes away is the lively town of Villefranche-de-Rouergue, famous for it’s Thursday morning market and historical buildings. During the summer months it is host to a street festival and many concerts and theatrical events. Further afield is St Antonin Noble Val, location for the 2001 film Charlotte Gray and the magical Cordes-sur-Ciel dating from the 13th Century. St Andre de Najac itself has a very good and reasonably priced restaurant - Relais Mont le Viau - which also has a small shop for everyday needs. There is a supermarket within 10 minutes drive.
Other Activities: canooing, Kayaking
Golf: Albi has an 18 hole par 72 Golf Course next to the river Tarn. It includes a practice range, pro shop and good restaurant.
