Fabulous apartment in an unspoiled village

We have just come back from a weeks stay in this wonderful apartment. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, extremely well equipped and very close to shops, beaches and restaurants, a great location. The views from the apartment are lovely. The apartment is located on the first floor of a small purpose built block in a very quiet residential area. The small town is unspoiled and typically Portuguese. The water taxi will take you over to nearby Prai de Rocha for 6 euro each return, where there is a larger beach, restaurants and shops, interesting to visit. The Seafaris Dolphin excursion is well worth the money. We ate in a few restaurants in the town of Ferragudo and on the nearby beach and they were superb, we also ate in the apartment, on the balcony enjoying the sunset. The apartment has everything that you could think of, and the owners are very helpful. Petra, the lady that looks after things for the owner is also very kind and friendly and eager to help if you need it. The beach is a 5 minute stroll away and is very safe for swimming and snorkeling too!! We loved staying in the apartment, and we would love to book again for a week in 2012!!

When you go again you must visit the Sand Sculptures in Pera, which is about half an hour drive from Ferragudo. Also don't forget to use the BBQ up on the roof terrace, it has amazing views of the river, sea and the Monchique mountains, which of course is another great place to go.
