This charming villa commands a fantastic view of St. John's pristine East End and the scattered British Virgin islands beyond, all dramatically staged against the vast blue backdrop of ocean & sky. Villa Sun, Moon & Stars is a 1-bedroom home just perfect for couples. Located high on a hill in Calabash Boom, up a long, steep, winding dirt road (4WD required: faint-of-heart, take note!), the villa overlooks the vast Caribbean panorama, where you'll be treated to cool, easterly tradewinds.
Built on one level, Sun, Moon & Stars offers a well-equipped kitchen and spacious dining & living area with cathedral ceiling, and an air-conditioned queen bedroom. French doors open from the living & dining areas to a wide covered verandah with unparalleled Caribbean sea views. On one side is the secluded pool & sun deck in a lovely tropical garden setting: the oceanside portion of the pool deck railing is hinged and can be opened and swung out of the way, so that you may enjoy an uninterrupted vista of the amazing ocean panorama beyond - just perfect for a private poolside massage with a view! Relaxation & a good meal for 2 go hand in hand, so the verandah is furnished with cushioned sofa, table & chairs for alfresco dining: shaded & cool by day, it's framed by the night sky for romantic stargazing.
Sun, Moon & Stars is located on the quiet side of St. John, but Coral Bay's bars, restaurants & small shops are just a couple minutes' drive down the road. You can rent small boats and snorkel gear at Crabby's, pick up some groceries at Lily's Gourmet Grocery (or ask us to arrange your groceries to be delivered to the villa just before arrival, for true luxury!), enjoy a casual meal at Skinny Legs, Donkey Diner, Aqua Bistro or Sweet Plantains, and try Shipwreck Landing for dinner and live music once a week. The Ram's Head trailhead (Virgin Islands National Park) is just a few minutes' drive from Sun, Moon & Stars should you feel like hiking to some of the best views in the Caribbean. This lovely, private villa is cozy and welcoming and provides the perfect vacation spot for couples young and old!
The exquisite sandy beaches of Lameshur Bay & Salt Pond are less than 1 mile away, and Francis Bay, one of the renowned National Park Beaches, is about 2-1/2 miles away. The restaurants & boutiques of Coral Bay on St John's East End are a few minutes' drive from the villa, and Cruz Bay town, with ferries, shops, restaurants and watersport activities, is about a 40-minute drive.
Located next door to Sun, Moon & Stars is villa Moonswept (MAS MSW), which can accommodate an additional 4-6 guests.
NOTES: a 4WD vehicle is required for Sun, Moon & Stars.
Thanksgiving rentals require a 7-night minimum.
