My family and I recently came back from a wonderful long weekend at this cabin. First off, I would like to sincerely thank the owner Charles for accommodating us. We had originally booked it for a couple of weeks before for a full week but our dog had to have emergency surgery (2) following an accident so we had to cancel last minute. Charles was so understanding and offered us the long weekend. We were so glad to not have to completely miss our vacation.
The location was perfect for us. It was centrally located between North Conway, Meredith, and Wolfeboro. It took under 30 min to get to any of them. The town itself is small and rural. There is a nearby convenience store (5 min) and Dunkin Donuts (5 min) as well as a pretty good breakfast place - Rosie's (5 min). There is one of those adventure ropes courses 5 min from the cabin called Monkey Trunks. The cabin is in a great little community with dirt roads and a 10 mile an hour speed limit-so it was perfect for the kids. No traffic. The kids could ride bikes or play outside without any worry. The playground is literally 20 steps (if that)n from the front door. The beach is a 3 min. walk from the house. Our kids loved the floating dock and the canoe. There were beach chairs, sand toys, beach buggy in the shed which was a big plus. The cabin itself is rustically charming. Bunks in first floor bedroom and a loft bedroom open to downstairs on 2nd floor. Our kids are 9, 6, and 4 so this wasn't a problem. It was nice there was a twin in the upstairs loft with a trundle as well as a double bed so our youngest could be with us. The kitchen is small but with most things you need. We ate out for the most part. The fire pit in the back yard was perfect for s'mores. Our dog loved it too! The only thing we wish is we had more time to do all the fun things in the area. We can't wait to go back and spend a whole week!
