Kyalami is a grand Caribbean mansion with a fabled past, the former haunt of the celebrated & famous who once enjoyed the villa's genteel ambience & gala parties. The entire property has now been lovingly renovated and equipped with all the latest amenities.
Kyalami's classically elegant main level (a generous 4600 sq.ft) has cool terrazzo floors and features a comfortable, spacious Great Room with casual media room adjacent, as well as a dining area off the Great Room. Along the harbor side of Kyalami is a 60' verandah with umbrellaed tables & chairs for alfresco dining. Also on Kyalami's main level is the large air-conditioned kitchen equipped with professional refrigerator-freezer & large collection of chef's equipment.
On the other side of Kyalami's main level are 2 air-conditioned king bedroom suites. The large master suite is graced with original handcarved woodwork & lavish marble bath with tub & shower. Just off this suite is a small patio with a hot tub overlooking the harbor (a gate conveniently connects this patio with the main verandah). The 2nd king suite is smaller and is equipped with cable TV & DVD.
A staircase leads down to the garden & pool/cabana level *, enclosed by tall, mature mango trees, bananas & palms. The pool deck is furnished with cushioned chaise longues, tables, umbrellas, as well as pool floats, a small fridge & gas grill.
Kyalami is very convenient to town, shopping & excellent restaurants, and is an approximate 10-minute drive to world-renowned Magens Bay Beach. The villa is located hillside, with gorgeous views of the harbor & islands, the daily parade of cruise ships, breathtaking sunsets, and at night, the twinkling lights of beautiful Charlotte Amalie.
* RENTAL NOTES: Kyalami has an on-site manager who lives in the lower (garden) level of the property with Kyalami's house dog, a well-mannered Chocolate Labrador. On the lower level are also 2 single, professional & quiet tenants who are out working during the day and rarely seen at all; nonetheless, the tenants & on-site manager are allowed access to Kyalami's pool. Should you have any maintenance problems or questions, Kyalami's resident manager will be happy to assist you at any time.
Please note: Thanksgiving rentals require a 7-night minimum.
