This villa is one of the best private residences we have to offer. Situated just 50 feet from the ocean's edge and fronted by a sandy bulkheaded beach, St. James Bay House is designed as a luxurious adult retreat.
The wide stairway of St. James Bay House welcomes you into the entry palazzo with stone walls, an outdoor kitchen and casual dining area. Grand double doors open to a foyer, then into the Great Room with its louvered West Indian french doors framing spectacular sea views. Through one doorway off this area lies the master king bedroom and bath suite. Through another doorway is the fully-equipped home office including a computer with DSL line. St. James Bay House enjoys full air-conditioning throughout, and a well-appointed gourmet kitchen with Viking range, chef's tools and delightful dinnerware. The dining area is conveniently located nearby, and the adjoining lanai/lounge offers a wet bar, beverage center and large flat screen TV, all of which are only steps from the pool deck.
A few stairs lead from this lanai area to the slightly elevated second king bedroom suite, or down to the third king/double-twin suite on the villa's lower level. Each bedroom suite has its own balcony overlooking the sea. A covered verandah borders the Great Room and master bedroom, providing ocean views, cool tradewinds, and a relaxing spot for reading or watching the leisurely passage of yachts and boats. The pool and deck, located on a slightly lower level, offer spectacular views and access to the beach.
St. James Bay House features cool coralstone floors, original art and accessories collected on world travels, and is lavishly furnished with handcrafted mahogany, teak, tropical wicker and rattan pieces.
This new, deluxe property is tucked securely within the exclusive gated neighborhood of Deck Point, but is conveniently located just a few minutes' drive to several East End beaches, the ferry dock to St. John, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, American Yacht Harbor, and shops, restaurants, and night life in Red Hook.
