Lovely furnished and fully equipped: Washing machine, dishwasher, cable TV, Internet, DVD, Stereo. A good selection of books, DVDs and CDs. 3rd floor with elevator. Small balcony facing east to allow morning coffee in the sun. The apartment is situated on a quiet street, which ensure that your sleep at night, but is still just around the corner from the lively Bogstadveien, one of Oslo's main shopping streets, with a myriad of bars, restaurants, cafes, etc., and the famous Vigeland-park with the city's largest outdoor swimming pools, as well as weekly antique markets. Trams, buses and underground stops 2 minutes away, and will take you to all of the most important sightseeing spots of the city, such as Holmenkollen ski jump, the Viking museum, Ra and Kon Tiki museums, the Munch museum, theatres, cinemas and Opera, in a few minutes.
Parking: There are plenty of possibilities in the streets, as Oslo is a quiet town, even more so in the summer and on week ends. In the street outside the apartment, you will have to pay between 9 - 17 on week days, 9-15 on Saturdays; Sundays are free. No payment in many streets within few minutes walk.
When on holiday you don't want to spend time getting around. The location of this apartment is unique: easily reachable from airport, train station and ferry port, at walking distance from many of Oslo's top attractions, but still with a remarkable tranquility. Enjoy your breakfast in the luminous dining room, surrounded by contemporary Norwegian and foreign art work; or have a continental breakfast at the lovely cafè on the corner. Take a stroll down Bogstadveien to get the latest fashion reports, and enjoy the bars and restaurants along the street. On sunny days use the nearby swimming pools immersed in the greens of the Vigeland Sculpture Park, at only 5 minutes by foot. On Saturdays you can enjoy the charming antique market just down the street. There is a wide range of restaurants in the neighborhood, in all price classes and representing all continents. Trams and buses stops 2 mins away, making transport to all other parts of Oslo very flexible and easy.

Golf: The nearest golf course is situated at BOGSTAD, an estimated 7 km drive away (north west – Ankerveien 127). The Oslo Golf Club here is the oldest in Norway, established 1924 in an undulating parkland set on the banks of Lake Bogstad which borders the layout on two sides. The location is charming with generous fairways with some doglegs and plenty of trees which will only occasionally come into play after a wayward drive. The course was extensively renovated i 2009 by Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest & Associates, which included fairway and green drainage works and improved playing surfaces. Tel. 0047 225 10560. Ski: 5 km drive away north or direct tram. Tryvann Vinterpark has a ski market share of more than 60% in the Oslo area and is the sixth largest ski resort in Norway measured by lift ticket sales, hosting close to 220.000 visitors per season. Two modern quad chairs provide uplift and there's a well featured terrain park. The normal season stretches from the beginning of December to mid-April with most of the runs covered by snowmaking open for night skiing to 10pm most of the season. Tryvann has direct access to 14 individual pistes, served by 6 ski lifts, a capacity of 10,000 skiers / snowboarders per hour. Snow cover is generally reliable due to the Scandinavian climate from November to April. Oslo airport within one hour’s drive, (or direct tram/airport express) so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Tryvann are perfectly feasible. Please note that if you are staying the week end, the rate is 500 GBP if the rental period is from friday to sunday. If you are staying 3 nights during the week end, the rate is 200 GBP pr night, for a total of 600 GBP. During high season (July - mid august) minimum stay is 5 nights.
