Architectural Designer's island hideaway overlooking beautiful Marigot Bay and its undiscovered beach, Villa Case et Cuisine sensitively fuses contemporary style with traditional Caribbean elegance. The house is set dramatically on a series of terraces and is framed by lush tropical vegetation. It is the perfect vacation retreat for one or two couples or families with children.
The main terrace opens off the living room and master suite. With its teak table and chairs, this outdoor area is ideal for poolside dining and socializing. At midlevel a broad wooden deck with padded lounge chairs is edged by a soothing waterfall which cascades into the pool. At the top of the property a charming pergola provides a quiet place to read, enjoy a glass of wine, gaze at the sea and dream under the stars.
The villa was completely renovated several years ago and has been furnished by the designer/owner. Light and airy, the interior blends island comfort with casual sophistication. Sliding glass panels allow the living and dining spaces to be opened up to the front terrace facing the bay and the pool and gardens to the rear. The custom built kitchen with breakfast bar features stainless steel European appliances and is fully equipped for cooking by guests or a private chef. Other amenities include a flat screen plasma television (satellite dish network), stereo/cd/dvd player, and a Bose speaker system inside and outside.
Each of the two bedrooms has a queen size 4-poster bed with luxurious pillowtop mattress and elegant linens. Adjoining the master bedroom in a newly built "case" (traditional Caribbean structure with exposed roof framing) is a stylish bathroom with private entry to the terrace and pool. A sunny loft with views of both the ocean and garden offers two twin beds and a desk/work space equipped with a computer (high speed internet connection/Wi Fi), printer, scanner and fax machine.
Villa Case et Cuisine affords proximity to the restaurants and shops of St. Jean and the spas of several first class hotels. Located just off the main road, it is a two minute walk to beautiful palm fringed Marigot beach. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking this marine reserve is a hidden glimpse of paradise in St. Barth.
