Utterly private & romantic, Mooncottage will delight those seeking a lovers's hideaway! Tucked on an acre of natural Caribbean beauty with exotic trees, the villa is set high on a green hill and is reached via a long, steep, winding road (4WD required): faint-of-heart, take note! Mooncottage commands one of the best views on St. John - a sweeping 180-degree panorama of Coral Bay, Tortola, Norman Island & Virgin Gorda.
A stone staircase ushers you into the soothing zen magic of Mooncottage: 2 fully-screened pavilions crafted in native stonework (and bordered by a garden courtyard with koi pond) are connected by a solar-heated pool. An adjacent covered verandah overlooks the endless Caribbean horizon.
The main pavilion features upholstered sofas, chairs & exotic teak accents, and shares space with the colorful gourmet kitchen & full bath with moon-window. A double chaise (suitable for 1 person over the age of 12 at additional cost) completes the restful aura of this pavilion, and the shaded porch just outside beckons relaxation.
An adjacent pavilion houses the master bedroom with outside shower, queen 4-poster bed & full bath.
Superbly equipped, Mooncottage offers many amenities, including satellite internet access for your laptop, complimentary welcome basket of provisions, & special gifts for all guests. The villa's high elevation & constant tradewinds assure comfort & tranquility all year round.
Mooncottage is several minutes by car from Coral Bay’s restaurants & bars. The stunning beaches at Salt Pond Bay & Lameshur Bay are approximately 10-15 minutes from the villa, and Francis Bay (on St John’s fabulous North Shore) is a 15-20 minute drive. Cruz Bay town, with shops, markets, restaurants, boutiques, watersports & interisland ferries, is approximately 35-40 minutes from Mooncottage.
*Mooncottage guests must sign a general liability waiver at time of booking. NOTE: 3 guests maximum (additional charge applies) - please ask your agent for details. Midweek maid/pool service is included for stays of 10 nts or more; for 7-nt stays, guests may opt for maid/pool service for $150, paid directly to staff (regardless, there are always fresh sheets & plenty of towels for a week’s stay). No smoking inside Mooncottage.
Please note: 7-nt minimum year round (except 10-nt minimum during Christmas/New Years).
