Description of the Indre vacation chateau / country house rental

The Chateau de Grazay has 2 acres of tranquil private grounds. This excellent holiday chateau accommodation sleeps 17/19. The main chateau itself can sleep 16 in its 7 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy the private and heated swimming pool, terrace and tennis court. The chateau has a large dining room and family kitchen. The main chateau was built on the site of a mediaeval priory (1400's). The castles “west wing” has most recently been restored; it was the original “Prieuré”. There is also a self contained gatehouse in the grounds that can sleep a further 2 guests. The terrace and large private gardens are secure and safe, and perfect for family games of cricket. The Chateau de Grazay is one of the best holiday chateaus in France for rent and it is situated in the Loire. With all the international summer chateaux festivals the Loire Valley truly is a magnificent part of France to visit. The 'playground to the kings' also boasts the most impressive chateaux in France including: Chambord, Cheverney, Chenonceau and Beauregard. The Chateau de Grazay is located half way in between Saumur (the world famous equestrian and wine town) and Tours. The local towns of interest include Chinon, Richelieu and Champigny-sur-Veude.
