The villa has been tastefully furnished and well equipped and includes an open plan kitchen, dining and living area, with doors opening out on to a pergola covered terrace. Steps lead down to the pool, poolside patio and gardens. A stone wall in the living area adds to the charm of the property and an archway through here leads to a small inner hall and 2 bedrooms. The double bedroom includes fitted wardrobes and a romantic four poster bed and has an en suite bathroom. Steps lead directly down to the pool and gardens. A further bedroom has been furnished with 2 single beds and also has fitted wardrobes. A family shower room is accessed from the inner hall. Both bedrooms are air conditioned. A further 2 comfortable single beds have been supplied and can easily be accommodated in the living area. Steps from the dining terrace lead to the roof, which is bathed in sunshine throughout the day. Fabulous sunsets from the garden, terrace and roof terrace.

Nearest Ferry: Rethymnon at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 10.0 Kilometres

The villa is situated in a traditional Cretan village in the centre of the island. It is just an hour's drive from each of the two main airports, 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket and 10 minutes from a number of unspoilt sandy beaches. Rethymnon, with its interesting old town, Venetian fortress and long sandy beach, is a 20 minute drive away. Visit Arkadi Monastery, the Melidoni Cave, Fodele the birth place of El Greco), the small but busy resort of Bali, Margarita, the centre of Cretan pottery making, all within a short drive. You can even reach the bustling resort of Agia Galini on the south coast in just an hour.

FANTASTIC

We had a fantastic week in this villa, it was nice and quiet. We loved the garden, the pool, the sheep, the view, the swallow drinking from the pool. The Taverna in the village is a good and cheap place to eat.
We rented a car and drived 800 km all over Crete. We were with our children from 20-18 and 16 years old.

Stayed for a week May 2009. Villa is located in a village about 10 miles from coast. Good location, very quiet, nice garden and pool and the manager (who is very helpful) lives next door. Difficult to find in the dark.

MY husband and I plus our two grown sons stayed at the Villa Eirene just outside the little town of Skouloufia for a week-long stay in Crete. We could not have wanted for anything more.
The villa was perfect! The setting was spectacular, nestled in the
countryside overlooking farms and olive groves. From the patio we were able to watch the sun set over the sea each evening. We
thoroughly enjoyed our own private pool and appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and attention to so many little details.
The location was a perfect jumping-off point for all our day trips.
We can't wait to return!
