Renovated apartment with 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4-6, center Palermo

Green guesthouse located on the 2 floor of an elegant building of the first 900, located in the historic center of Palermo. Totally refurbished, independently, has 1 double bedroom and one with 2 single beds, large living area with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and small laundry room and there are 2 long balconies that follow the perimeter of the apartment, furnished and equipped TV, refrigerator, heat pump, stove, oven, microwave, iron with boiler and washing machine. The house is fresh, bright, airy, with spacious interiors and colored walls, is located in a quiet street away from traffic and main roads, yet within minutes walk of restaurants, pizzerias, historic buildings, museums , villas and botanical garden and a well equipped garden overlooking the sea.

We are in the heart of the historic center of Palermo, but at the same time close to the Foro Italico, so if you want to visit the old town you travel on foot, quickly take a different path that runs along the sea and avoid ' ahead 'traffic of the city. A 10-minute walk you arrive in Via Roma, Piazza S. Dominic (shopping), but also to the garden by the sea of ??Foro Italico (for walking or sports), Villa Giulia, the Botanical Gardens, markets Vucciria and Ballarò, the most interesting historical buildings (Palace and Abatellis Complex of Sant'Anna in Via Alloro, Palazzo Steri and Piazza Marina Palace Merlo), the Cathedral, the Torment (former church school building Jazz in Palermo) and the Oratorio dei Bianchi (recently restored), just around the house , etc.. In 10 minutes (on foot) you will reach the central station, the terminus for all buses and those that connect the city with the airport.

The master bedroom is large with soft colors and oriental rugs, two doors that open a window a long balcony, it is convenient and comfortable, the warmth of wooden floors and exposed wood beams make it very welcoming, the room with 2 beds individual is more intimate gathering and wood floors, beams and furniture to make it quite romantic. The living room with bright colors, which is also facing a long balcony, is full of light and joy, has a double sofa bed and is separated from the kitchen.

This apartment is very clean, spacious, up-to-date but still charming and well-located in Palermo. Valeria is the contact person and she beyond helpful. She is prompt and replies to concerns and needs. She had left coffee and sugar and bottled water and other things to be used.

Palermo is a very walk able and very accessible city. We could get everywhere we wanted to go by foot. You can walk to the main train station-long walk but perfectly easy. From there you can take a municipal bus to Monreal for--maybe $2 or so. Unbelievable. You can take a train to the airport-scheduled often--and big buses there for a very reasonable price.

On the street just below the apartment are many very interesting cafes and small restaurants that have good food for low prices. Also small "grocery stores" for the essentials and bars looking out on the sea nearby for a wine or coffee and a rest. All completely reachable.

I would recommend this to anyone. If you don't want to walk at all I'm sure there are public buses all around town but we like to walk and it's easy--np real hills or such.

Don't be "put off" by the price. It may seem too good to be true but it is true. Just as promised.

Beautiful flat, great location

Valeria was a wonderful hostess and was very helpful in all regards. Her english was quite commendable and is very outgoing. The flat was outfitted with everything necessary to enjoy a lovely vacation in eastside Palermo.

There are plenty of exciting and historic places to see within walking/taxi/driving distance. There is a beautiful park situated just accross the street from the place where we spent some time flying kites. The botanical gardens are also within walking distance in addition to the tourist-y areas.

The 4 of us stayed comfortably and had a great weekend courtesy of Valeria and will likely return again to see some places we may have missed. Definitely recommend!

A real taste of Sicilian life.

We were very lucky to spend 8 nights in this lovely apartment, living within a real Sicilian community. We always felt safe and were made very welcome on arrival by Valeria. This is an ideal base for seeing the sights of Palermo and surrounding region.
