Traditional Character Town House with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

Cas-Gwent House is a traditional double fronted old town house. This beautiful property is built on a corner plot and has three very large double bedrooms and three luxurious bathrooms.

What makes the house something really special is its lovely roof garden with plunge pool and the ideal location, being only a few hundred yards from the sea front on the border of the most popular locations of Sliema and St.Julians.

The house can comfortably sleep up to eight adults and two children and is ideal for a family holiday or a number of couples. This is a holiday home with a difference. The house itself is full of character and beautifully furnished throughout and we think our rates represent great value for money at a price everyone can afford.

The famous Maltese architect and restoration expert Joseph Mifsud has lovingly restored this beautiful property to all its former glory. Most of the original features have been retained to capture the atmosphere and feeling of a quaint bygone era. The high ceilings, ceiling beams, window shutters, stone arches and other exposed stonework have all been conserved to retain the historic fabric of the building.

Airport pick up: We will arrange airport pick up for you. Lino who is a licensed taxi driver will meet you at the airport with the keys to the house. The airport is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the house . Lino can carry up to 4 people plus luggage in his car and the standard fare is 20 Euros one-way regardless of the number of passengers he can fit in.

If your party is a large one ,Lino will arrange for another car to accompany him when meeting you and there would be another fare of 20 Euros to pay to the second driver.

Lino is also available for daily taxi work. Phone him on 9984 4783, he is always very friendly, prompt and reliable and you won't find anyone cheaper on the island.

Supermarket: Shopping for groceries is not a problem with the Park Towers Supermarket only a ten minute walk away on the sea front. There is a delicatessen and butcher within the supermarket and they also sell alcohol. They do a very good next day delivery service so it is worth going there at the start of your holiday and you can stock up with all the necessities. When placing a larger order you will qualify for a useful free gift too. They have a large selection of local Maltese wines that are very good and competitively priced. Don't forget to order a few bottles for those dinner parties.

There is a pay as you go mobile phone at the house for the use of our guests. Please feel free to carry it around with you. It is very useful for local calls, taxis, take away food etc and not too expensive to phone back home. It takes Go Mobile credits that you can buy from any of the local shops or kiosks.

Dream holiday accommodation - Cas-Gwent House

A group of us needed somewhere to stay for a wedding we were attending in Mdina, Malta and it ended up being Cas-Gwent House after a search on the internet. There were 8 of us altogether - 4 couples and the house was plenty big enough.

Prior to our arrival, Neil (the owner) was super helpful, really easy to talk to and made the whole booking process nice and simple. He also gave us lots of recommendations on bars, restaurants and beaches to visit which we actually took him up on and were not disappointed!

The house itself is lovely with lots of traditional character which we all loved, so much nicer than a hotel. The main thing that stands out is the sheer size of the place, it's plenty big enough no one got in anyone's way and there are 3 bathrooms in the house which is enough for anyone.

A favorite of ours was the the amazing roof terrace, what a bonus. Nice, spacious with a plunge pool, BBQ, Deck chairs and upstairs kitchen. We actually spent most our time up there even just to eat breakfast, some days we stayed there all day topping up our tans and if we were going out we would always start up on the roof with a quick pre-drink.

The location of the house if also perfect, you can see the sea from the house and it's literally a 5 minute walk and all around the area are bars and restaurants including the local Salisbury arms where George the owner will welcome you with open arms.

The whole holiday was brilliant and I would definitely like to go back. I almost don't want to write this review so Cas-Gwent House doesn't get so booked up I can't get in.

Delightful, convenient, well-located house.

The house was very pleasant for our week's stay: large, well-equipped and easy to live in. The location was superb. Particularly for a family with small child(ten); a short walk to gardens, playgrounds, fountains, etc. It's not a peaceful place to stay -- traffic noise is considerable -- but that's inevitable with the central location. Neil & Lino were very helpful throughout.

Neil was a great help from the off with organising the booking and supplying with helpful information, this is a large spacious house with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Malta. situated right in the middle of Sleima it is handy for everything from supermarkets to bars and restaurant's, and a 5 min walk to the harbour front. lino is a great help if ever you get stuck so defo worth keeping his number handy. the main feature about this house is the rooftop, you wouldn't need to leave the property if you didn't want to you can laze round on the roof top have a bbq and have a quick dip in the plunge pool to cool off. all in all its a perfect place to spend your holiday in whilst in Malta. I will definitely go back again I'm in the process of booking for Malta again this year but Cas Gwent is already booked up boohoo, if it wasn't I would be going back again.

Cas Gwent House

We have just returned from our stay at Cas Gwent House and I am more than happy to recommend this property to others. I was particularly impressed with the owner’s (Neil) fantastic level of communication. He is always available via email or telephone and he contacted us throughout the booking process to ensure we were happy with every detail. The house itself is very spacious, although we almost didn’t book it as it is listed on TripAdvisor as a four bedroom property when in fact there are only three bedrooms. This is because the living room has a bed-settee which can sleep two adults. We were unwilling to sleep in the living room but as our party was eight, including two children, we were a bedroom short. Neil informed us that one of the bedrooms could be set up with a double bed and two singles. We therefore booked and decided that if the room was the size of a Premier Inn then we could put up with sharing four to a room for a week. In actuality the room was huge, at least double the size of a UK family room and we honestly didn't even notice the presence of our children! The other two rooms were occupied by my parents and sister and brother-in-law and again both of these rooms were very generously sized.

The house is in a super location and as such is let out almost every week of the year. This does understandably lead to a degree of wear and tear, a missing bedroom door handle and broken towel rail for example, but for us these issues were more than compensated for by the fact that the house was so beautifully clean and tidy when we arrived. It should also be noted that when we were unable to work the television we emailed Neil who immediately arranged for his manager Joe to come around and assist us. You can therefore be assured that should any problem arise during your stay, however small, the owner will endeavor to rectify it.

The house is in quite a busy street and there was a bit of traffic noise but as it is slightly away from the sea front we were not troubled by happy holiday makers on their way back from an evening out! The bus-stop is less than five minutes walk away and there are numerous tiny local shops also within a couple of minutes walk.

In short, we would be more than happy to recommend this property to a friend or relative. Thank you Neil for a relaxing stay!

We had a very great time in this house, which is very beautifull and clean. There is a lot of space : 3 beedrooms and bathrooms Our favorite place was on the roof with the pool...
The location is perfect : in about 5 minutes from the beach, bars, and shops.
Neil is very helpfull and friendly. We hope to be back next summer

The house is within easy walking distance of the picture postcard settings of Balluta Bay and Spinola Bay in St.Julians. St.Julians is famous for it's excellent restaurants, bars and coffee shops. There is a large swimming pool at Balluta Bay called Neptunes where you can pay a small daily rate to enjoy the facilities and swim and sunbathe next to the sea.

The newly built Bay Street Shopping Center is only a further 10 minutes walk from Spinola Bay and well worth a visit. Apart from the many shops there are more bars and restaurants, a sixteen-screen cinema and a bowling alley. Bay Street backs on to the Paceville area, which is the capital of Malta's nightlife.

The Strand at Sliema is a pleasant 20-minute stroll down the promenade in the opposite direction. Here you will find the new prestigious Tigne Point Shopping Centre and more vibrant bars and restaurants.

The Maltese buses run to every destination all over the island and you can catch one on the sea front very near to the house.
