Sunset Beach is a beautiful villa directly on Dever's Bay, near Chocolate Hole, on St John's south shore. The westward-facing view allows for inspiring tropical sunsets, and the sound of the surf on the washed rocks of the beach will soothe & lull the senses. A large heated pool, hot tub & fantastic snorkeling right at your doorstep are all features of Sunset Beach.
The open-plan great room in the main house, with living, dining & kitchen areas, opens onto the comfortable verandah. The living room is furnished in antique reproductions from the Virgin Islands. A modern, custom-built kitchen looks over the living & dining area as well as onto the view.
All 4 bedrooms at Sunset Beach feature beautiful antiques & ensuite bath. Two bedrooms (1 with 4-poster bed & the other with wrought-iron canopy bed) are located on the upper level of the main house, and open onto a small balcony facing the ocean. The other 2 bedrooms are on the pool level (one of these has an ocean/pool view, and the other has easy access to the pathway to the snorkel beach). This latter bedroom (with 2 twin beds) is perfect for teenagers or children, but can also be made up as a king bed for couples.
The lower level also has a washer/dryer to help make your vacation stay as stress-free as possible.
The view from the decks & pool at Sunset Beach are all spectacular. A wet bar with icemaker & small fridge is located poolside, and a nearby hot tub adds to the enjoyment of the villa. For snorkel enthusiasts, one of the unique features of the property is direct access to the coral & rock formations of Dever's Bay. The lush tropical landscaping of Sunset Beach is ideal for sunbathing, beachcombing or just relaxing by the water & listening to the gentle lapping of the waves. A tiny ladder by the seawall leads to a Gilligan-esque sandy area with 8 funky teak sand-chairs & a nearby hammock - what could be finer!
A 2-minute drive takes you to the sandy beach of Great Cruz Bay & the Westin Resort. St John's world-renowned north shore National Park beaches are 15-20 minutes away by car. Charming Cruz Bay town, with shops, boutiques, restaurants, watersports & interisland ferries, is less than 10 minutes away from Sunset Beach.
For friends traveling together, Sunset Beach is an easy walk to Vida de Mar (CT VID) as they both share the same driveway.
