Transport is outside the doorstep. Caledonian Road Overground Station (Zone 1) is a 5-minute walk from the apartment and all frequent bus services are only 30 seconds away. Highbury and Islington National Rail and Underground (Victoria Line) Station is a ten-minute walk from the apartment through the tree-lined picturesque Islington neighbourhood of Barnsbury. St. Pancras Eurostar terminal to Paris and Brussels is less than a 15-minute walk from the apartment and buses connect frequently from close by. Many buses to the West End and other parts of London can be found just as close.

The centre is only a few underground stops away, you could even walk there.

Close to all the amenities shops restaurants and bars of Caledonian Road and Upper Street and opposite the Barnesbury Library. There is also a Street Car nearby as well as cycle hire and bus stops. All the theatres and restaurants you could want, plus great shopping.

My boyfriend and I stayed on Clive's apartment at the beginning of april for one week, he is a fantastic host and gave us lots of advise on where to go during our trip. The location is good and the apartment was very clean, i would stay here again next time i trip to London!!

EXCELLENT CENTRAL LONDON APARTMENT FOR 2 TO 4

We are a family of four from Evergreen Colorado - 2 adults / 2 children ages 11 & 13. We stayed for 6 nights in mid July 2012 just before the start of the Olympics. We loved the apartment and the location. Clive was great! Great communication. Very responsive via email before we arrived. He brought us extra sheets that our son used on an inflatable mattress. Although the Tube stop is a couple of blocks away, we took the 91 bus to Trafalgar Square (and another bus) nearly every day. It was much more fun being able to see the City from up high on the bus then being underground. The apartment was very quiet and very clean - everything worked - WIFI, dishwasher, washing machine. We did find it a little tight with four of us in there - but fortunately we primarily only slept in the apartment - way too much to do in the City! Lots of small shops nearby - several pubs - but we never made it out to one of the nearby pubs. If you're willing to get out of busy touristy areas and want to spend time in a real part of London - this is the place to stay!

Located in Zone 1, N1 (North 1 postal code), the apartment is the ideal location if you plan to seek out the best London has to offer across its boroughs. It's in the northern part of central (as London is so big even the centre is divided into boroughs), which gives the benefit of easily being able to reach the eastern attractions (15 min bus to Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Liverpool Street area) as well as the western attractions (10 min bus to Camden, Oxford Street, Soho, Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and a short 5 min bus ride to Kings Cross) from the apartment.

This also means that you can walk fairly easily to the centre.

The apartment is in Barnsbury, Islington, which is one of London's most beautiful and desirable boroughs. There are shops 30 seconds from the apartment where you can buy food to cook in the apartment as well as many bars and restaurants either along the Caledonian Road (seconds away) or on the buzzing Upper Street.
