The villa has been tastefully decorated by the current owners with an international style that is colourful and homely in order to give an immediate welcome to visitors and guests staying here. We use the property regularly for family holidays ourselves and the layout is very suitable for two families with children or an extended family and friends. Each of the four bedrooms have twin beds offering maximum flexibility and a modern safe cot and high chair is also available (at extra charge) by prior arrangement. With a private secluded pool, barbeque area and side garden (safely away from pool), this is an ideal base from which to explore the Algarve or simply to relax with all the comforts of home. The town of Carvoeiro nestles in a valley a very short walk down a steep hill from the Villa.

Praia do Carvoeiro to give its full and formal name is a pretty town with a small beach, many varied bars, restaurants and the usual tourist shops. It has managed to avoid the onslaught of high rise concrete apartments and hotels. The vast majority of holiday accommodation is in private villas and low rise small apartment complexes and a few well hidden but high quality hotels. While a car is not essential as the Villa is very close to the town, you will miss exploring some of the more exciting coves along the coast, the nearby castle at Silves, a grilled sardine lunch at Portimao, the mountains of Monchique (and a chicken piri-piri lunch) or the water parks and of course, shopping malls at Guia.

This property exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect for our family (with ages ranging from 2 to 65) - near to local shops and restaurants and beaches, but at the same time, it was in a very quiet position. The property was well maintained and a very obliging and friendly cleaner came twice a week. The villa was better equipped than any other we have stayed in. The owner was great - so helpful and friendly. We would definately recommend this villa and hope to return soon.

Excellent, well placed villa...

We have just returned from our 2 week stay at casa das Palmeiras and can honestly say that the villa exceeded our expectations on all levels. This was a home from home experience and all the facilities were exactly as stated in the description. Not too far from the town centre, well maintained and with all the comforts of home....lovely!

Cheshire family holiday in the sun - 2009

Just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely villa. It's in a great location- very peaceful but within 15 minutes walking distance of the busy village of Carvoeiro (down a steep hill).
The villa has everything you would need on holiday and is well cared for by Lucillia. There is a great barbecue area with a huge family sized table for relaxed family meals in the evening, although you actually have the options of 3 different spaces and tables for eating al fresco!.
Having a secluded and separate side garden away from the pool is a bonus for families with very young children.
The layout of the rooms and bedrooms is very practical - you can't hear babies crying (or late night revellers returning early in the morning) when you sleep upstairs!
The photographs don't do the villa justice- it's much bigger than we expected.
I would happily recommend the villa to anyone and am planning a return visit in the future.
The owner was also very helpful in terms of advice about transfers etc.,

Villa Carvoeiro

Arrived home yesterday to wind and rain, after having an absolutely fantastic holiday. Your villa was such a lovely surprise... the pictures on the internet do not do it justice...and so well equipped.. the best ever..
The villa was clean and tidy, and the layout worked very well and having 2 bedrooms downstairs was ideal for teenagers who came in at all hours of the night and didn't disturb us upstairs!
Plenty of sun and shady areas around the pool, and we loved the terraced area around side of the villa for al fesco lunches. The terrace upstairs off the main bedroom was fantastic for star gazing late at night with a glass of wine or two.
Villa very well situated for local restaurants and bars (try the Cocktail Garden) and about a 5/10 minute walk downhill to town. Will keep you fit! The Jail House really 'rocked' this year and definately worth a visit.
The only critisim was that when the sprinklers were on in the garden we had only a dribble of water for showers, hand basin washing or loo in the upstairs bathroom - and one morning the same happened when the neighbour was watering his garden too!!!! But then we never ran out of hot water for all the showers in the evenings which was a bonus.
We will definately return and fully recommend this villa to all our friends
