ANTIBES LUXURY SEAFRONT STUDIO, HISTORIC TOWN, SECONDS FROM BEACH.

We loved Antibes and the location of the apartment is excellent for exploring the beaches, the old town and beyond either by car or rail. Louise has thought of everything even down to beach towels, beach chairs, welcome basket and a fully equiped kitchen. We loved a restaurant called Le Comptoir just minutes from the apartment on the way into town. A great getaway for a couple looking for some time together away from the kids!.

I agree totally with the previous rave reviews about Apartment 42. The pictures really don't do it justice. The view is incredible, the location is perfect, and Louise is a very welcoming and accommodating owner. Not only were we thrilled with the lovely, spotless, and well-appointed space, it was really nice that Louise provided us with some groceries and coffee to ensure we had what we needed. She also showed us some maps and gave us information on some places of interest in and around Antibes. It was nice for us that she had British TV for the times we just wanted to relax! Although staying here, you will not want to watch the TV much!

The studio was perfect for me and my new husband (it was our honeymoon). It would have been comfortable with 3 people as well, though more people than that might be a tight fit. Also, the elevator is small (fits 2 people) but we took the stairs so it was OK for us.

Antibes itself is charming, and easy to navigate. The apartment is very well situated, right downtown and only a few minutes from the beaches. The main bus stop is a 10 minute walk away and the train station is about a 20 minute walk. Sights in town not to miss are definitely the Provencal Market and Salis Beach. The wine bar just downstairs has great food and of course great wine (and such a convenient location)!

This was one of the absolute high points of our honeymoon and we hated to leave such a gorgeous place. We will definitely be back and are telling all our friends that this is the place they must stay!

My new Husband and I stayed here and it was amazing. The pictures do not do this apartment justice. The French doors opening out on to the balcony was something out of a movie. First of all I am pretty OCD and the apt was spotless...there were fresh flowers, and a little starter kit of snacks in the fridge. The owner was incredibly thoughtful. (I cannot stress this enough.)

We were walked through the spaces and the owner explained how all the appliances worked. Everything you need is in the Apt. There was even a pre-made ready to go to the beach straw bag with towels. It was perfect and totally comfy and I immediately felt at home. We looked out over the cove at the sailboats and yachts every morning while enjoying yummy coffee in stylish contemporary cups. The view at night is even better. It was ridiculously romantic.

We were close to Everything. There was a private beach right there, and a public one. Have your pick. There were tons of bars, café’s, restaurants. There is an adorable market in the older part of town. It is very close; you just walk beside the sea until you see the sign for the market. It’s right behind the Picasso Museum. Seriously, I just about died it was so fabulous.

Don’t worry about finding things to do, the owner will tell you all the best places and they have a map in the apt that will guide you. They have a full drawer (in the cute credenza) of “stuff to do” material.

Tons to do in town. Lots of fun shopping!! There was an amazing Indian food place called Chamkila near the open market. There is also a Gift shop that is fanatic for presents to bring back 25 court Massena, Près du marché provençal à Antibes, 06600 Antibes. And underneath is an Absinth Bar/Museum.

There is nothing to complain about really, but I will tell you the elevator is small… so I always took the stairs. The building is great and well cared for, I felt totally safe.

Side note: there are books and Dvd’s in the apt in-case you want to stay in one night and just relax.

I am 100% going back. So please take extra special care of this place because it is magical.- xoxox -M
