Historical and Cultural Belém: Belém is known as the historical district of the Age of Discovery. The sensational architecture of the Tower of Belem and Jeronimos Monastery (both World Heritage Sites) is the result of the discovery of the sea route to India, the opening of trade with Japan, and the colonization of Brazil and parts of Africa and China. This is also Lisbon's museum district with the one-of-a-kind Coaches Museum filled with royal fairytale vehicles and the Berardo Museum showcasing a world-class collection of international contemporary and modern art including works by Warhol and Picasso.

Pastéis de Belém: Despite all these attractions, it is a pastry shop that receives the most visitors. At Antiga Confeitaria de Belém (simply known as 'Pasteis de Belém' or 'Belém pastries') you can taste one or several of Lisbon's famous custard tarts that originated on this site and are still unlike any others found around Portugal, made here with a secret recipe.

From the windows of the living room you can admire the Belém gardens.

At 5 min walking there is a train station with trains to downtown and to the famous beaches of Cascais and Estoril .

To the old city center you can also take the typical and traditional trams (nr. 15) or the bus (nr 714, or 28).

Rental Rates for this vacation apartment rental in Belem, Portugal

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Prices are per apartment per night for 2 person.

    Extra person (12 years old or more): €10/night/person.
    (4 to 11 years old): €5/night/person.

    In some periods a minimum of 4 persons occupancy may be required.

    Price for 4 persons in medium season: €109.
    Price for 4 persons in high season: €119.

    To confirm reservation, 25% of total has to paid in advance (by PayPal, western union or bank transfer, payment instructions will be send).

    Check-in : from 16 pm and check-out: until 11 am. If you need a different check-in and check-out hour let us know and if possible we will try to make it flexible.
    Late check-in after 22 pm to 8 am are subject of a fee of €30.
    Damage deposit of €150 (returned on departure).

Our party of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Belem. We were greeted by Leonora who provided us with detailed information about the apartment, the surrounding area, and Lisbon in general. The location was great for walking, bus (open bus tours), tram, train, and even parking for our rental car. The local pastry shops and restaurants were great and so close. We had a great time watching the park activities from the balcony...watching the locals enjoy their beautiful parks. Thank you Leonora for a wonderful stay in your great apartment!!!!! Five stars!!!

What a stunning apartment! One of the most beautiful flats we have ever stayed. It was just what we were looking for; a typical Lisbon house located in a peaceful and breathtaking region of Lisbon - Belem. The property was wonderfully furnished, immaculate, comfortable, full of light and had all the amenities imaginable. As well as eating out in great restaurants - including the ones down stairs - the flat itself was very well-equipped for cooking and dining in - quite important with children too young to go out to eat every night after long days out. It’s also great for children because there is a playground and garden just in front of the apartment and the street is pedestrian-only.
Last but not least we have to mention the hospitality of Leonor. She helped us with lots of information and good tips regarding to travelling, sightseeing, dining etc. Leonor thanks for everything - someday we'll come back! We had a very good stay, and would love to visit Lisbon again sometime - if we did, this apartment would be somewhere we'd definitely return to! Thank you!
