|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
Fully renovated 4th floor apartment (2011), situated in the Dorsoduro neighborhood.
The furnished apartment is bright and airy and consists of three spaciousdouble bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower, an open living room with kitchen and two outside balconies- great view over canals, churches and towerbells.
The apartment has been finished to a high standard with wooden floors throughout and air conditioning in every room.
Venetian fabrics enhance the soft furnishings in the double bedrooms, one of which is composed of two singlebeds.
The balconies boast picturesque views of the terracotta rooftops and the canals below as well as views of the ‘Campanile’bell tower in Piazza San Marco, which can be seen from the apartment windows.
Dorsoduro area: Dorsoduro area is one of the beloved neighborhood by Venetians, between the Accademia bridge and Piazzale Roma- full of local shops, many restaurants, cafe's, lovely art walks along the Zattere and many churches and Art Museums to visit - from San Sebastiano, to Carmini to Peggy Guggenheim.
Campo Santa Margherita, few minutes from the apartment is one of the liveliest campo in Venice. It has a fruit and vegetable market, flower stall, fish market, a good bakery, health food store and about 10 bars, cafe', restaurants in the square. The right place to have lunch or a pizza, or a venetian aperitiv. Live music played often in one of the cafes.
Two excellent ice cream stores.
We stayed here in July for 5 nts. We found this apt to be perfectly adequate and the pictures were very accurate. The living area is slightly changed around with the dining, but definitely for the better. The area is quiet but not too far away from the centre, there is a decent supermarket about 1min walk and a very good one less than 10min walk. A few good cafés are about 5 min away. Very safe and clean. Lots of stairs, but as long as you are prepared that won't be a problem. The gentleman that met us at the apt was very helpful, especially with our luggage. The apt was very clean and bedrooms were huge! The academia bridge was our favorite, and Venice is just a magical place, feels like you're on the set of a movie. We would highly recommend a stay at the WaterView! Thanks so much for having us!!
We were (3) couples staying in this apt for 4 nights in May 2014. Absolutely loved it! Easily accessible from the airport and only a 10 minute walk to the water taxi's. Beautiful views, quiet area and very comfortable and updated accommodations. I especially appreciated their flexibility with arrival/departure times and the fact that the apt came equipped w/ sample supplies, spices, coffee, etc, which we didn't get at other apts we've stayed at. We all agreed we would stay here again, if and when we return to Venice!
The apartment was fantastic and to a very high standard. We were very impressed by all the amenities. We certainly needed the air conditioning in August. The apartment is on the fourth floor, but it helped to keep us fit! This was our second visit to the Venice and we really like the Dorsorduro area, close enough to all the the sights but far enough away to be more peaceful. We really enjoyed going to the Campo Santa Margherita and walking along the Zattere in the evening.
My son, mother and I had a wonderful stay in Venice and we loved the apartment and the beautiful view. Loved hearing the bells from the churches and watching the boats go by.
The apartment is perfectly located in a quieter part of town but only a 5 minute walk to the hub of Piazza Roma. So it was perfectly quite at night. A grocery store was less then a minute away. The bedrooms were a perfect size and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need. And everything was impeccably clean.
As well we found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful when we got there by meeting us at the Piazza and then helping us with our large number of questions on how to find attractions etc.
Would definitely recommend this apartment (but remember there are 4 flights of stairs!) and would rent it again if I am lucky enough to return!
We, 6 adults and a one year old kid, stayed in this apartment for one week and the apartment was excellent.
The location were perfect for us. Just about 10 minutes walk from the "city centre" but still very quite. Just around the corner there is a supermarket and 5 minutes walk you find the best restaurants in Venice.
3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom a full equipped kitchen and dining room made this stay very comfortable for us. The property was clean and the customer service was excellent.
We really recommend this property!
All the best,
Lisa, Andreas, Johan, Anna, Leif, Märit and Theo.
If you like a beautiful view, soft beds with comfy sheets, in a perfect location walking distance to everything but away from the noise of the crowds, this is your place. We loved our time here and can recommend this place with no hesitation.
The management of this property is incredible and will lead you to all that Venice has to offer as well as where to really find great food and amazing sites. Kudos to them!!!
Now for the things that you should be aware of and the reason it doesn't get a 5 star. The showers are small, so if you want to get cuddly, it may not be the place for you. There is also no dryer, so if you are staying for a long period of time this could be annoying, but as long as it is warm outside the clothes dry very quickly, so just a minor annoyance. Last if you don't like stairs, then this place won't be for you. There is no life, so you have to walk up to the flat. That being said, the view is worth every step that you have to walk.
Enjoy your vacation and this lovely place. Be well, jerry
Dorsoduro is one of the more peaceful neighborhoods in Venice but still within walking distance of the main areas, Piazza San Marco is less than a 20 minute walk.
Just behind the apartment is the‘Zattere’ where lies a long waterfront promenade with restaurants, bars and icecream shops. The promenade leads up to the Basilica della Salute and Punta della Dogana where you can visit the recently opened modern Art Museum , perfect for an evening stroll.
The famous Accademia gallery and bridgeare also within easy reach as is the Peggy Guggenheim collection.
A 10 minute walk will take you to theCa’Rezzonico museum, la scuola grande di San Rocco, the church of SanSebastiano and the Basilica dei Frari, home to some of the works of one of the Veneto’s most celebrated painters, Tiziano.
Waterbuses serve as Venice’s main public transport and there is a waterbus stop near to the apartment, allowing you to get around easily.
Piazzale Roma, the main point of arrival into Venice, is few mins
