We recommend making the most of the BBQ, fresh fish and meat are just nearby in the market were you can walk to, why not try the delicious Vinho Verde (or some Madeira with ice the new drink on the island). The swimming pool gets sun all day, and this part of Funchal is by far the sunniest in all Madeira making it the perfect winter home. The houses are fully equipped to make your stay very comfortable be it for a week or for many months. All the attractions are nearby, golf, swimming, diving, walking in the mountains and glorious gardens. Every month of the year is a great time to visit the island as we have a mild climate (in 2011 & 2012 it has been a completely dry year with no rain at all) there are events each month going on such as fireworks, flower festival, golf open, carnival, big game fishing, garden shows, music festivals & much more to keep you entertained year round.

Levada walks, golf and swimming nearby: The villa is the ideal base to explore the beautiful island of Madeira, its strategic location in the heart of Funchal means it is just by the seaside were you can swim, water ski, scuba dive, sail and much more. The 2 golf courses are very near, Palheiro Golf is just 10min away and Santo da Serra Golf is just 20min away. Madeira is a walkers paradise and from here you can reach the mountains and discover the levada trails. A bus stop is nearby, and the main road to the airport is very easy to catch. Local café and corner shop is a couple of meters down the road.
