Canal side loft apartment on the fourth/fifth floor of a gated development with porter, lift and external waterside private decking in the central area of Islington and Shoreditch. The property comprises a very large double height reception room with balcony overlooking the canal and views across London. It is south west facing with plenty of natural light.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOLLOWING NUMEROUS ENQUIRIES , UNFORTUNATELY I AM NOT ABLE TO RENT THE APARTMENT FOR PRIVATE PARTIES/CELEBRATIONS ETC, DUE TO STRICT 'PARTY NOISE' RULES IN THE BUILDING AND ALSO TO AVOID POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY.

LOCATION

The building, 23 Wenlock Road, is located between the area of Angel and Old Street. There is a small park by the entrance of the building and the Wenlock Basin leading to Regents Canal on the apartment side.

The building is located at the same distance between Old Street and Angel underground stations. It is easier to get to Old Street, but you can get to Angel by walking along the canal which is a more pleasant walk but you have to know your way around it. It’s about 10-15 minutes walk from the stations. There is also a close-by bus station to take you to King’s Cross station where you can take the underground to the city centre.

There is a Porter, who is in the building Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30 PM.

from the building there is access to a private area along the canal.

Crossing a small bridge to the side of the park and walking along the canal straight there is Angel and the tube station.

TRANSPORT

OLD STREET TUBE STATION.

Walking out of the building main glass door, turning right to the end of the Wenlock Road to CITY ROAD then turning left until the round-about where the station is.

The underground is the Northern Line (Black). It is two stops to Kings Cross. At Kings Cross there are the Piccadilly Line (3 stop to Covent Garden), Victoria Line, Central Line and Hammersmith and City Line. Approx. 10 minutes journey.

ANGEL TUBE STATION.

Walking along the canal straight toward left Angel and the tube station

The underground is the Northern Line (Black). It is one stop to Kings Cross. At Kings Cross there is the Piccadilly Line (eg.3 stop to Covent Garden). Approx 10-15 minutes journey.

BUSES

The closest bus station is on City Road. Walk out of the building and turn left. The bus station is right in front at the end of the road.

BUS 205 (direction to Highgate) will take you to Kings Cross Station.

BUSES 205 or 214 (direction to Liverpool Street) will take you to Liverpool Street Station.

PARKING

On street parking is for residents only from monday to friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm. All other times is free, including saturday. and sundays.

There is a secured parking at the end of the road, approx 100m away. The daily parking rate is approx £7.

LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND SUPERMARKETS

Angel offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

The area of Shoreditch/Hoxton is located at walking distance and it has become a very popular area during the weekends with its various bars, clubs and restaurants.

The best supermarkets are located just in front of Angel Underground Station. These are:

Marks & Spencer

Waitrose

Sainsbury’s

There is a smaller Sainsbury store and a ‘The Cooperative’ supermarket next to Old Street Underground Station round about. The petrol station at the end of Wenlock Road also sells some supermarket basics.

PARTIES and NOISE. Unfortunately due to very strict noise rules within the building, parties are not allowed in the apartment as the building administration will intervene if any noise complain is raised on the day.

A BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT FOR A LUXURY BREAK

My friends and I stayed in this apartment for two nights over a weekend. It is an absolutely beautiful space, with a great view over the canal from the balcony, which sits along the length of the huge window. We found the apartment to be scrupulously clean and classy but comfortable. The location, away from the busy roads which are normally so hard to avoid in central London, means that the flat feels very quiet but it is extremely close to both Old Street and Angel, making it a perfect base for exploring the city and great for access to nightlife. The owner of the apartment was extremely courteous, attentive and easy to contact. All in all, a truly fantastic holiday apartment. Highly recommended.

AMAZING LOFT APARTMENT

Wow, the pictures for this apartment do not do it justice in reality, the apartment is simply stunning, the perfect London pad getaway with a wow factor.

The apartment is very well equipped and spacious, also with 2 bathrooms this was ideal for 4 girls staying. Floor to ceiling windows and a balcony over the canal made this ideal for a long weekend when the sun was shining. Beautiful open plan kitchen/diner and lounge made it great for socialising.

Only a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from Angel tube station and nearby there is a 24 hr petrol station for supplies, although the apartment was very kindly stocked with some supplies already.

The owner was a pleasure to deal with and very quick to respond to any questions and queries.

Would definitely stay here again.

AN AMAZING APPARTMENT, BEAUTIFULLY DESIGNED!

My partner, two friends and I stayed here for a week in April 2011 and from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left we felt privileged to stay in such an incredible apartment. Huge windows with spectacular views made us really feel part of the city, and the fully equipped kitchen was great on the odd night we chose to take a break from the bustling city life.
It's well located and incredibly beautiful.

The loft type apartments building is located and directly facing Regents Canal. The Canal has a promenade leading to Camden Town, Regents Park and the Zoo and leading further to the west. The closest underground stations are Old Street or Angel and they are at 4 stops away to Covent Garden. Both Liverpool Street Station and King's Cross Station are 1 stop away or 10 minutes away by bus.
