Abruzzo Vacation Rental villa: Loreto Apurtino

We have just returned from a glorious week at this villa and although I don't usually bother with feedback stuff, felt compelled to write a review as I really feel the owners deserve to be praised.
The location is well placed for travels around this part of Italy but as pointed out you do need a car and some decent maps. There is plenty to see and do and the town itself has very good facilities, with an almost magical family-friendly evening atmosphere, whilst the villa is just far enough outside to provide peace and total privacy.
The surrounding area was safe, secure and the people friendly and welcoming.
The owners met us upon arrival and showed us to the villa which was well maintained with large amounts of storage space, hot water, comfy beds, ventilation, well fitted kitchen and hygienic and well stocked bathroom. Marian showed us everything and left us with a contact number, loads of local info and some edible essentials.
The whole place was spotless and really the photographs fail to do it justice.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this to a friend and would love to return here myself as soon as possible.
We tried several pizzerias and restaurants and found in particular Rycharts cafe for late night ice creams was wonderful. New Evo is definately the place for outdoor pizza although their tirimisu was a little bit "thin".
No complaints, watch out for the local dogs who bark a lot if you like jogging in the early morning, don't try to visit the museum in the afternoon and the castle is a NO if you are a vegetarian, try to get a smattering of Italian before you go- although everyone was very patient and helpful. Definately go to the hotel Bilencia just outside Loreto as it offers traditional italian setting and farewhich is both inexpensive and mouth watering. .
