Valencia City Vacation Rental : Valencia

This apartment was excellent for what we wanted - clean, well equipped and in a good location between the beach, the city of arts and sciences and the town centre. The owner was very nice and was available via text if we needed anything.

As for valencia, apart from poor service in the beach-front restaurants during the day, everyone was very friendly and eager to accommodate our needs (eg people in the supermarkets, bar tenders, taxi drivers). The city of arts and sciences was amazing, and the aquarium is well worth a visit. The town centre is pretty and interesting, and needed a lot more exploring than we had time for when the beach was so close.

The nightlife was brilliant, although we clearly didn't go in peak season, as many places were often only half full. The bars were always friendly by the beach and in the centre of town, and the clubs were much more than run-of-the-mill. Particular highlights include Gandhara, an indian themed club/chill-out lounge, Las Animas, an open air club by the docks, and L'Umbracle, possibly Valencia's best, located in the city of arts and sciences. Although the upstairs is awesome and will take some getting over, there is a downstairs for the more hardcore clubbers, open later, playing more underground dance music.
