Guestbook comments from the owner
We stayed at Llanlliana in June of this year. We were a party of 8 adults and 6 children aged from a few months to 6 years old. We had a wonderful week and would happily come back again. The house itself has been refurbished to a very high standard and is very comfortable and relaxing. The location is superb. When we first arrived we thought 'where is the the sea?!' but once we walked down through the field to the private little bay we could feel the sea and felt its presence all the time. It is a marvelous place for children as the house is off the main roads, down a track and then down a farm lane - very safe. There is a wonderful play area just near the house in which the kids had hours of fun, and even the littlest ones enjoyed climbing up the coastal path at the bottom of the fields and looking out to sea. A highlight was one afternoon when a seal came to watch us all in the little bay, even coming back with a fish in its mouth!
There is a sandy beach nearby - a short drive in the car - with lots of rock pools and a decent beach cafe doing chips with everything and good ice cream. There is undoubtedly much to explore nearby but for much of the time we were happy to stay around the house. There is plenty of space so we could do our own thing as well as enjoy being with each other.
Nikki and Dan are very helpful. Although their house is attached, you do not feel that you are sharing your holiday home with anyone - but they are handily nearby for the odd cup of flour or advice on local facilities.
All in all, this is a place worth going to: peaceful, spacious, interesting and welcoming.
